Yeah. Two lower end prospects who could become something but are very far away.

Unpopular opinion maybe but I don't like Syn or DeGrom getting traded anywhere really. I feel like those guys are the face/identity of the organization right now. They're going to value those guys higher than even their already high surplus.

But that is just one person's opinion.

Went exactly for what you said just signed machado drafting some guys gonna put this team together for 2020 anything I can offer the reds to give me Castillo ? I still have Tim Anderson ,Garcia,Castillo,fulmer ?

5 years of a young ace is expensive. You may be better off running a fantasy draft so you can grab all the guys you want. The reds are pitching poor. I'm sure they'd have interest in Kopech, etc

Lets ease up on comparable before I get trounced for these suggestions but I think all of these guys can be had depending on how their team is playing:

Zack Greinke
Madison Bumgarner (seriously have to be failing here)
Jeff Samardzija
Michael Fulmer
Robbie Ray

A lotto ticket. His down 2017 really hurts him. He is expected to be a 2.5 WAR guy going forward using out formula and that makes 2.5 x 9 x 3 = $67.5 in value. Then subtract the $67 million he is owed and you get a grand total of $0.5 million in surplus value

I agree for Syndergaard but DeGrom is over 30 and has a year and half left of control. In my franchise the Mets (its 2019 and they are 15 games out in June and finished with the 7th worse record in the majors in 2018) are going nowhere fast and probably wouldn’t resign DeGrom. They need to rebuild and trading one of them is the quickest way to do so. This was my reason for asking for their values.

Here are some deals I have looked at:

Smoak (13.2) to Colorado for Pint (15.1 value). Smoak is hitting .324 with 20 homers so he will be valuable for the Rockies at Coors field. Otherwise, looking at Hamson + Castellani.

Pillar (52 surplus) to SF for Chris Shaw +/- SP prospect like Suarez. Otherwise, maybe Aramis Garcia, Heliot Ramos/Austin Slater and a lottery ticket? Not familiar with the Giants system so will need help with this. Only Ramos is on the spreadsheet with 24.1 value. I could also add Jaime Garcia (close to 4) as an added bonus to get a little more from them and allow them to fill two positions of need.

Morales for Adrian Gonzalez, Desmond Lindsay. I’ll take on Agon to get something of value for Morales (batting around. .300 with 17 HR) if possible. I also looked at Cleveland but couldn’t be sure of what to take back.

I read at trade idea on Bleacher Report and it was Danny Duffy for Mickey Moniak and Cornelius Randolph. Does that seem like a fair trade?

I came up with roughly ~$31 million in surplus for Gray.

As for who would want him, any team in contending that has a need for SP Rockies would likely call and the Giants.
