I really wasn't planning on doing constant updates on my franchise...but just one game after losing my ace, Shane Bieber, my number two starter Aaron Civale was sent to the IL with a fractured hand and will also miss 1-2 months of action. There are now 3 rookies in the starting rotation, but Cal Quantrill should be coming back in a week or two. Time to see what the highly touted Cleveland farm system can do.

Hopefully you're getting all your injuries out of the way earlier in the season. Most of my team's big injuries happened after the trade deadline.

With 5 games to play, your Detroit Tigers have clinched the AL Central!

We can't wait to get into the playoffs and see if we can make a run, despite some very cold pitching currently.

Around the league, both WC spots will come down to the final days.

AL- CHW and Yankees are 0.5 games apart.
NL- Mets, Padres and Braves all with the exact same record. Of course, either Mets/Braves will get in via the NL East.

          Exciting times! Lets go Tigers!

2022 Arizona Diamondbacks World Series Game 3

            Final Score:
            D-Backs-8
            Angels-6

            ARZ leads series 2-1

Diamondbacks overcame early deficit to take 2-1 series lead

Mike Trout picked up where he left off in game 2. In the first inning of game three, Trout hit a two run homerun that gave the home crowd and the team something to cheer about.

Meanwhile, Shohei Ohtani was dominate on the mound, holding the Diamondbacks scoreless through five innings. Another power hitter for the Angels, Anthony Rendon also joined the party with a two run shot of his own in the fourth inning. That brought the lead to 4-0 and as previously mentioned, Ohtani was dominating and those four runs really seemed like they could hold up.

Fast forward to the 6th inning. Ohtani was now over 90 pitches and was looking like fatigue was setting in. Still, he was able to get two outs and looked poised to finish off the inning. Unfortunately for him and Los Angeles, that fatigue did get to him to the tune of back to back to back jacks by Carson Kelly (2 run), David Peralta and Buddy Kennedy. Those homeruns tied the game at four a piece.

The teams would then go back and forth. Combined, the teams would score at least one run in each of the final innings. Those runs continued in the 9th when Arizona took a three run lead 8-5 after a solo shot by Jordan Luplow who pinch hit for Peralta, and a two run shot by Ketel Marte.

Los Angeles' Jesse Winker tried to get a rally going in the bottom of the ninth with a solo HR of his own but Mark Melancon was able to shut them down after that.

ARZ now takes a 2-1 lead into game 4 where they will look to increase their lead while Los Angeles trys to keep the series close.

Cardinals sweep the Brewers in St.Louis

The Cardinals (74-61) swept the Brewers to begin the week in St.Louis and lead the NL Central Division by 3 games over the Reds.

The first two games of the series were tight one run wins by the Cardinals as they won 4-3 Monday night and then 3-2 on Tuesday night. Matthew Boyd was brilliant on Wednesday afternoon as the Cards won 5-0. Paul DeJong and Tyler O'Neill were the offense of the series.

The Cardinals will be off on Thursday as they welcome the White Sox to town for a 3 game weekend series. The White Sox are battling the Twins in the AL Central.

Cardinals take series from White Sox to extend division lead

The Cardinals (76-62) took 2 games of a 3 game series with the White Sox in Busch Stadium over the weekend. The Cardinals now lead the Reds by 4.5 games while the Brewers and Cubs have each fallen back to 7 games out.

The series got off to a rough start Friday night as the Cardinals had a late lead but Tyler Webb was unable to get the final out of the 7th and yielded 3 runs on 2 hits without recording an out. What was a 5-3 lead turned to a 6-5 deficit that ended in a 9-6 loss. Justin Williams recorded 4 hits on the evening while Paul Goldschmidt snapped out of a mini slump with 2 homeruns and 4 RBIs.

Saturday was better as the game would never really be close as the Cardinals put up 8 runs on 7 hits including 3 homeruns in the first inning. After the first three men reached base against former Card Lance Lynn, Nolan Arenado cleared the bases with a grand slam. After Tyler O'Neill struck out, Paul DeJong would launch his 24th homerun as the Cards were up 5-0. But it didn't end there. With the bases loaded and two outs, Justin Williams delivered a bases clearing double to make it 8-0. That would be more than enough for Carlos Martinez who went 7 innings (113 pitches) allowing one run on 4 hits and striking out 8.

Sunday was again all Cardinals but they trailed 2-0 going into the bottom of the 5th when Goldy, Arenado, and O'Neill hit back to back to back homeruns to make it 3-2. After a Molina single, Bader would launch his 19th homerun of the season for a 5-2 lead. Behind Jake Odorizzi, the Cards would cruise to a 7-3 victory.

The Cardinals will travel to Pittsburgh for a 3 game series against the Pirates at PNC Park. It will be last meeting between the two this season.

                    Remaining Schedule:

                    3 @ Pirates
                    3 @ Brewers
                    3 @ Reds
                    3 vs Diamondbacks
                    3 vs Reds
                    4 vs Mets
                    2 @ Royals
                    3 @ Reds

Finally back and able to play again and start my franchise. Long story short house we were having built got finished, had to sell old house, had to move, yada yada yada.

Anyway going to play with my New York Mets (Tested a ton of teams but in the end I guess I play with the team I root for)

Roster- Using Bishido 3.0 Just released. Has all the trades and all teams top 30 prospects along with first 3 rounds of players from this years past draft.

Sliders- Always use Truesims. with Hall of Fame settings. Always makes games competitive.

30 Team Control- OFF, Just worry about my team. Though I edit the trade slider. Leave it on 2 for the first few months. Then go to 5 in June, 7 in July.

Goal- To play one month worth of games every 8 to 10 days. Get about 3 seasons in before next game arrives. Though I might not even purchase next years game so that might not matter.

Cardinals take series against Pirates in Pittsburgh

The Cardinals (78-63) took 2 games of a 3 game series against the Pirates in Pittsburgh to begin the week. The Cardinals lead is 4 games on the Reds currently.

The Cardinals lost the opening game of the series when Roberto Osuna blew the lead in the bottom of the 9th when Jacob Stallings hit the game tying homerun. In the 10th, the Pirates would get a walk off RBI single by David Peralta to end the game.

Tuesday was just as exciting, but the fortunes were reversed. Tommy Edman hit a 3 run bomb in the Top of the 9th of a 4-2 game to give the Cardinals a 5-4 lead and eventual win. Jordan Hicks was called upon to close out the game for his 2nd save of the season.

Wednesday had dramatics, but not the walk off variety. Jack Flaherty flirted with a no-no into the 8th inning before Chad de la Guerra singled up the middle to break it up. Flaherty would though finish a complete game shutout allowing the one hit, 2 walks and striking out 15.

The Cardinals are off on Thursday as they head to Milwaukee for a 3 game series against the fading Brewers.

                        Remaining Schedule:

                        3 @ Brewers
                        3 @ Reds
                        3 vs Diamondbacks

                        4 vs Mets

                        3 @ Reds

I am. Will provide an update after I play Game 2.

I have an infielder playing CF (his 4th listed position), because I needed his bat in the lineup.

Angels slug their way to series tie

The Los Angeles Angels were dominate in game four of the 2022 World Series. LA combined for seven homeruns in the game with Mike Trout and Jesse Winker hitting two a piece in a game in which they failed to score in just two of their eight innings at bat.

Mike Trout is with out a doubt going to be the post season and world series MVP if the Angels can win the world series. His .424 avg, 11 HR and 23 RBI's have to be among the best in post season history.

Much of Trout's career, the MLB world has wondered how possibly the best player in the history of the game would perform in an extended playoff run. Unfortunately for the majority of his career, the Angels have not been able to provide him with the opportunity to prove what he can do in October baseball.

But here in 2022, Trout is finally getting that chance and is living up to the hype.

The teams success could be partly contributed to their heavy trade deadline activity as they brought in names like Jesse Winker, Brendan Rodgers and Whit Merrifield.

The teams will now prepare for the final post season game in Los Angeles as both try to take the all important game 5 and a 3-2 lead in the series.

                              Cleveland Guardians Franchise

Well as I was getting ready to start my Mets franchise my cousin (Also my neighbor) came over and convinced me to run a franchise together to get games done faster and more seasons in. He wont play as the Mets cause he hates them and I wont play as his team the Yankees as I hate them so we decided on the Guardians. A team that is not a power house, but also can compete for the division and has a young group to build around.
