      Fictional League
      Manage only Mode

With my New York Mets I now stand at 10-1 to start the season.
The Atlanta Braves are keeping pace just 1 game back.

      Cubs lead the Central

      Giants lead the West

      In the A.L. it's Boston-Chicago and L.A.

After a slow start for my 1B Vince Talley, he's come on to go nuts and give my club it's last 4 wins(7 in a row now)...as 3B Collins and LF Borders have cooled off considerably. I also am going with the hot hand of 4th OF Richard Bryant who is batting in the high .400's. Gillespie...my regular RF who is a far better hitter and fielder is cold as ice. He'll get his playing time when Bryant slows down.
It's my pitching that is really the star as my somewhat average staff is pitching particularly well although helped by a strong offense right now in regards to wins.
Top 5 in ERA/K's and RA for those guys.

How do you guys manage benching players, their stamina seems to drop quickly and they end up not playing a lot of games due to the warning screen saying they need a day off or something.

Wow, 55-34 is an amazing accomplishment for that team, congrats. I'm just hoping to hover some somewhere a little over .500 at this point lol. My starting pitching is just killing me though. They can go for a good 5 or 6 innings and then they just implode. Evan Meek is killing me as well, with an ERA over 20 lol. Luckily our offense is carrying us to some crazy come back wins in the early half of the season. Injuries have claimed the better half of Ryan Doumit (who struggled early, but then turned it around before getting hurt), and Alvarez. I really like Alvarez and love his production, but man, he just can't stay healthy. I'm really glad I picked up Atkins, because he's been holding down 3B pretty good while he's been out. I may explore my options for a 3B come the trade deadline if we're fighting for a playoff spot at the time.

Apparently I didn't save last night, so it is saved after June 31st. Still made the trade for Chapman and Phillips. 46-37 after the month of June.

Yea...the Pirates pitching is nothing special but i pitch better then I hit so i have an advantage right off the bat.....Injuries certainly do kill u...That's why I turned them off before I started my franchise...Don't want the hassle of bringin guys up/down then having to shuffle lineups/rotations, etc....Plus, I take more satisfaction in beating teams with their star players being involved....Haven't made any roster moves since I started, as i'm satisfied with how my team has been chuggin along...If push comes to shove, imma prolly look to upgrade my backup catcher spot as Snyder's battin .229 with 1 HR and 6 rbi's......U may have hit on something with Meek..he's the weak link in my dominant bullpen with a 4.41 era....One BIG problem i do forsee down the road is my *ace*...As every Pirate fan knows, Correia is not an *ace*..At best he's a 4th/5th starter.....Browsing through the trade block, I notice many teams making high-profile *ace-types* starters available such as Buchholz, Pineda...I promised myself not to mess with my team's chemistry in my 1st year, as im the type to not wanna give up young prospects, but imma have to think long and hard about acquiring a true ace for the playoff run

My Astros Franchise is officialy unrealistic; after starting 26-51, we have caught fire and are now 39-55.

Kinda feels good to be somewhat relevant.
