Yah im going to need some power to as all my top prospects are contact hitters/speed guys... I highly recommend carlos pena, bombs left and right.

One really sly move would to get ubaldo than trade for jason kubel, my team batting as verage is 260 but kubel is hitting 320 on pace for 25 hrs and 80 rbis.

what about trying to snag one of the young pups from the Braves? Hanson or Jurrijens? However it will also probably cost you as well.

Started a franchise using the O's. Currently 3-0 in Spring Training. Playing all the games getting a feel for the team and Psycho's sliders.

i like Hanson...question is, is he a legit ace? U can't really tell since ATL has great overall pitching...that's a great guy tho....might explore that route..i like jurrjens a lot as well...his stuff doesnt translate into *ace* stuff tho...i want my #1 to have a overpowering 94-98 oh the fb not to mention the off-speed stuff....i doubt ATL has any interest in trading hanson as they're 1st in their divison

I'm doing a Mariners franchise and I am currently 60-46 and just finished possibly one of the best games I may ever have vs the Yankees. Justin Smoak went 5-5 with 4 HR's and got his 4th homer in the top of the 9th with a Grand Slam and had 9 RBI's. And I play on default sliders and have never had a game this good.

Ichiro is also currently on a 26 game hit streak extending it in the top of the 9th in my last game. I am fighting for 1st with the Rangers who are 2 games in front, and surprisingly the Phillies are really bad they are about 20 games back of first in the NL East.

I will hopefully try and update my franchise every couple of weeks.

Since I my last post I got progressively worse. Heyward got hott 5HR 7RBI in his last 10 games. He went down 1-2 mnths with brkn ankle. I went from 10-26 to 16-37, last place 11.5 GB. But I am not going to have a fire sale. I am into the Memorial Day part of schedule. I have a lot of division games remaining to some possible damage.

My ERA is good at 3.13 and I have gotten my team BA up .219. That is an improvement from under .200 for the month April.

I'm doing a Yankees franchise I am almost done with the month of July.

these are the standings for AL EAST:

Rays 60-41
Yankees 60-41 (Rays have beaten me 7 out of our ten meetings so far)
Red Sox 59-41 (I have beaten them 6 out of our 9 meetings)
Orioles 49-51
Blue Jays 42-59

Here are some notable players that have been traded (Some had me scratching my head):
Eric Hinske and Derek Lowe were traded from Braves to White Sox
Wade Davis and Kyle Farsnworth were traded from Rays to Angels
Grady Sizemore traded from Indians to the Angels
Dave Bush signed with Royals from Free agent
Orioles Traded Biran Matusz to Rangers
Rangers traded Frank Francisco to Orioles (more players were involved in the trade)
Jose Contreras ans Roy Oswalt from Phillies to Red Sox
Alfredo Aceves from Red Sox to Phillies
Albert Pujols to Tigers
Joaquin Benoit to Cardinals
C.J. Wilson to Brewers
Carlos Gomez to Texas

Some of these trades I was like wtf.

Also I made some trades of my own, I'll mention them in a second.

In team Batting Average I'm fourth place overall with .275
I wont mention power because its too high spent most of the season trying to find a balanced point.
Runs im fourth overall with 484
Hits I'm tied for 11th with 926
RBI tied for 4th with 474
ERA 11th with 3.79
Saves tied for 7th with 30.

Granderson was lumping through a lot of the season he is getting out of the slump but still horrible against lefties so I acquired Dexter Fowler to platoon with him at center field.

Jeter was sent to the DL with 5 hits away from 3,000 and is still on the DL. Posada has recently gone on the DL, but I also recently acquired Giambi for some power off the bench.

Angels made me an offer to give me Joel Pieneiro so I accepted.

Those were my only trades but I have made free cheap free agent signings at the beggining of season. I had Scott Posednik but he was traded away. I have Hank Blalock, Brad Thompson, Jamie Moyer in the minors (all signed for one year deals). Freddy Garcia is in the minors and so is Ivan Nova, both did not do very good.

My current roster with Jeter and Posada still on the DL is:

I think I might be done with trades oh yeah I traded Marte for prospects earlier in the season one of the prospects was involved in the deal for Fowler. If someone offers me a good trade I might think about it, otherwise I'm all set I just wanted to be all set for playoffs because Rays have been beating me and there is always a chance I could face the Rays in the playoffs.

I am currently in July 23, and nothign is guaranteed for me since I have lost 7 of the last 10 and if I go back more even worse. I lost All star 4-2 so NL has home field advantage

I get that injuries happen but I find it a little crazy that four of my best (if not the best) and promising players all get injured at the same time in the middle of a small wild card push.

I also see quite a few young, promising major league players that get injured and retire. Maybe this happens occasionally in real life but still very rare, and I see retirements like this up to twice a season.

I am not a slider guy at all so I don't think ill touch them just yet, although it is quite annoying.

When I sim I always have people out like 10peple out at a time it sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying

First game of the season at Oakland was eventful and frustrating. With Felix on the hill, I managed to hold the A’s down to just one run on a solo shot, but to be honest, if it wasn’t Felix, I would have gotten smacked around. Kept leaving stuff over the plate. Anyway,

My offense was simply annoying, as I had 12 hits and only one run to show for it through nine innings. So many runners left one and the runs I did score I probably shouldn’t have. Pure luck that I won that game 2-1 in the tenth. Ichiro went 0-4 and Bradley went 3-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

The New York Mets(13-2) 11 game win streak came to a quick and ugly end yesterday as the Atlanta Braves(10-4) took game two of the three game series in dominating fashion. From start to finish the Braves knocked around Met pitching, especially New York Met SP Jordan Huff(1-1) who gave up 7 runs in 3 innings. The Mets did score 6 runs, including homerun number 4 for LF Hank Borders, but it was never close as the Braves piled up runs in every frame except the 6th to win 13-6.
Injured in the game was Braves 2B Nick Todd who is batting .425. He is out for 1-6 days with an ankle sprain.
Met ace Sam Hinton(2-0) takes the hill for the rubber match tonight.
