I am officially a sim monster. In my season mode, I have simmed to the year 2070. It is kind of ridiculous because everyone is in the same stadium and all the umpires are the same. Kind of annoying after awhile...

Starting to lose interest in my 2nd season with the Twins because the trading seems to be ****ed up... I'm trying to trade Cuddyer,Orlando Cabrera, and Joe Nathan for a GOOD pitcher and noone seems to be interested. Playing around I tried offering Mauer, Cano, and Liriano for the wackest player of every team and they all rejected the deal...WTF IS THAT!

Would you mind posting your updates to that roster to the vault? It sounds great with the stirrups and old stadiums!

Progressing on my Brewers (play every game) and Mariner's (play only Felix/Pineda starts) and surprisingly, my M's are 6 Games up on the Rangers after the first 50 games!

I have the set where the entire N.L. is completely finished. All players(that needed it...there were too many Latin players for a 60's style MLB replay....as the drafts are done...I will introduce all the other nationalities in) are renamed....some rerated...all uni's/equip/facial hair/glasses/stances are done. For the A.L. all the players are put on teams and rerated, but they all need to be done like the N.L. as described above. I'm working on it as I go through the season for the A.L. teams.
I'll post it later though for you guys that want it though.

In my second season with the Cubs. Missed the playoffs first season.

In the season, I traded for Wilson Bentiment who did a great job and thats about it really

Off-season I was busy.

1)Traded Dempster to Texas for Michael Young who will man 2b for me
2)Re-signed Aramis Ramirez to a one year deal. I plan on in year three to move Young to 3b.
3)Traded Randy Wells to Texas for Mitch Moreland and Chris Davis
4)Signed C.J. Wilson snd Tommy Hunter (I know I have a lot of Texas players lol)
5)re0signed Wilson Bentiment
6)Signed Jensen Lewis and Joel Zumya

Season update: After finishing the season getting swept by the rays, i finished the season with a 110-52. Team MVP: Alex Rodriguez .295 AVG 44 HR and 110 RBI.

The season MVP for the AL was Adrian Gonzalez with some gaudy numbers .350 AVG 50 HR and 128 RBI.

AJ Burnett took home the Cy Young(LOL!) with a 20-6 record with a AJ Burnett ERA of 4.16.

For the playoff matchups in the AL it's going to be the RedSox vs. the Twins and it's my Yankees vs. the Angels. Taking the ball in game 1 is CC Sabathia and he'll be facing Dan Haren. I've struggled in the past against Haren, so i'll be looking to be aggressive this time around instead of waiting on the fastball.

I expect the RedSox to motor past the Twins.

ALDS playoff Rotation:

Sabathia
Burnett
Colon

Going with a 3-man rotation of my most effective starters.

Hopefully I can win game 1 and get off to a good start!

After sweeping the AL leading Orioles on Baltimore I returned to The Cell and lost 3-0 to Kansas City. The White Sox now sit @ 62-58, 1.5 GB of Detroit. Had chances, just started pressing at the plate, serves me right for rushing, as I was late for a 4th of July BBQ.

Thinking about starting a new franchise but I'm undecided right now between the Nationals or the Marlins...I hate how the NL pitchers have to bat it's so annoying when you have them at the plate with people on base.
I like the Marlins because of their young talent. I'm also excited about 21yr old Mike Stanton who has tremendous power who can crush about 30-40 home runs for me and also Hanley ramirez who's an all-star. They also have Ricky Nolasco and Josh Johnson two prospect pitchers. However I ****ing hate their empty stadium -__-.

On the other hand the Nationals have a new stadium and some nice jerseys. They also have Stephen Strasburg which should be a fun player to play with. They also acquired Jayson Werth which should be a good player to have in the line up along with Ryan Zimmerman. I can also trade or acquire a fast player with decent contact to get me some stolen bases ( i love speed players). Not to mention they also have a 23yr old closer with a high rating...

Undecided as of this moment. If it wouldn't have been for the Marlins bad stadium I probably would've been chose them.

Just got done playing the most intense game ever on MLB the show!

As always i play on all star difficulty...

After splitting two games in the Bronx against the Angels in the ALDS, I take game 3 in a convincing 12-6 win over the Angels as once again I rocked Ervin Santana for 6 runs in 5 innings.

On to game 4: CC Sabathia vs. Scott Baker
None of my starters have made it past 5 innings in any playoff games. And it was more of the same in this game. CC was tagged for 4 runs in 4 innings. After a bunch of bs happens in the game(shrinking strike zone for me, expanding zone for the CPU, my outfielders couldn't field the ball, litterally fly balls went right through the glove), and bloop singles killed me early in the game. I couldn't stop yelling at the TV, this game really took its toll on me emotionally. I took CC out after 4 innings, and brought in Phil Hughes. It was then when the bullpen really stepped it up, yeoman's work. Phil Hughes gave me 2 innings. Jose Valverde gave me 2 innings, Ryan Perry gave me 2 and 2 thirds and Mo Rivera got the last out for the save.

It was the manufacturing of runs that got me the W. Getting from 2nd to Home on a simple groundout was huge in the late innings of regulation. Finally in the bottom of the 13th. Derek Jeter, hitting .091 in the ALDS batting 9th, scorches a triple to leadoff the inning. After a sac fly from Grandy it was on to the top of the 13th. I had Mo warm, but I stuck with Perry after finally figuring out the confidence meter and what its all about. After Perry pitches for 2 outs. I bring in Mo to slam the door against the Pesky Halos.

And it's off to face the tough RedSox in the ALCS!
