Nats are set with major-SP so they wouldn't ask for Garza nor would they want Byrd.....u'd have to start off with Jackson

Would Garza, Vitters, and another A/B prospect be enough for David Wright you think? Even if I have to dip into the solid core of B prospect pitchers I have (there's like 3 or 4) to get some 3B help I can take the risk. Unless you know of a 3B prospect who's close to MLB ready who is possible to be traded. I was thinking the young 3B guy from the Tigers. Nick Castellanos I think his name was.

I'd prefer of all to keep: W. Castillo, Rizzo, Barney, Castro, Jackson, and Szczur. As for pitchers, Marmol is staying, Dolis is staying, and Lenny Castillo is staying. I will give up starting pitching at the right price, as that seems my deepest position if all pans out. In a good deal, I wouldn't mind sending 2 or 3 or my B prospect pitchers trades to help improve other areas. I don't want to rid them all and be depleted, but I can make a few expendable. I'd part with most anyone else for the right player(s).

I'm probably gonna throw most vets and a few prospect I feel I can make expendable on the trading block and see what CPU teams throw at me. My main positions of need I'm looking at are RP, 3B, and OF whether it be a 4th man or starter. And catcher if I can find a deal to ship Soto while he has high value. As of right now, I'll consider trades offered if the guys are young and can help in the next year or two.

And thanks for the help. I like to be somewhat realistic and not trade guys to a team who's set at the position and you have a pretty good insight and its helped.

Mets would not do Garza/Vitters/A(or B) prospect...they are in full rebuilding mode and therefore would not want Garza;a veteran whose making a bit of money..especially for their cornerstone 3B....u'd have to start by either giving up Jackson or Szczur, McNutt, and another good prospect....for Castellanos, since he's an *A* prospect, u would have to give up something equivalent of an A*

Well clearly aren't going for realism, or you wouldn't have done that trade. Also, FYI in real life Rendon has played about 2 games at 2nd base in his entire life. It is your game tho, and as long as your having fun it's all the matters.

I'm starting my franchise with the Astros. If the season starts going south I plan on dealing Carlos Lee. I would like young potential in RF,CF or SP. What would be a good deal moving forward?

Detroit doesn't seem like a team who'd need Garza off top
I'll keep scanning rosters and see if I can find a 3B on a team who could use Garza. If not a big trade like that, I would assume I could ship a lower guy like Dempster for a cheaper average 3B player.

Yeah, I'd like to keep it under 27 or so (under 25 would be even better). I'm certainly okay with guys who have no MLB experience, as long as they're just a year or two away from contributing.

Yeah, I was thinking Tabata + a couple B's for Trumbo (or maybe take on a bad contract to even it out). A's are just giving Taylor away, too many outfielders, but I don't want to cheat them. I'm also trying to talk myself out of bidding for Soler, but he'd look good with McCutchen and Marte in that outfield.

This is a really dumb question, but here it goes. I've got my Dodger franchise going and I'm trying to get a 3B. But how does one determine an A-prospect from a B-prospect? Cheers

problem is Tabata would be a 4th outfielder with the Angels as currently constituted....No way the Angels would do that....unless u take back either Wells *BARF* or Hunter.....To be fair regardin the A's OF's, outside of Cespedes, the other guys can be replacable so they wouldn't just dump Taylor for a bag of balls.....Two B's would be fair for him tho....As i told another poster, there's nothing wrong with biddin for FA's, but what u gunna do if/when Soler signs with another team IRL?

that's something u would have to ask the guys from the roster forum who edits rosters

your right..they dont NEED him but he would fit in nicely behind Verlander especially if Smyly is awful his first few starts.......but i don't see Garza in a Tiger uniform...if u want a hotshot 3B prospect (also a team that can use Garza) how about Miguel Sano from the Twins? although u'd have to give up a bunch for him and his ETA is not till 2014

The Nats are a smaller market team and Zimmerman now has a large contract and they got an A prospect and dumped salary. While they may not do it in real life its not taking advantage
