      Johan Santana
      Add:
      2 Seam Fastball

      http://www.fangraphs.com/pitchfx.asp...755&position=P

Also, according to that same link:

Decrease running fastball velocity to about 89mph
Change Up Velocity to about 79-80
      Slider Velocity to 81mph

John Axford needs an increase in FB velocity. Game has him with 92 but all sites show 95-96 for last year. Also, the game has him as A overall with B potential, s/b A potential.

Kenley Jansen has a strikeout rating under 90, but he had 16 Ks per 9 innings last year, 53.2 innings.

Re: MLB 12 The Show Pitch Repertoires Corrections Thread

Hey y'all just checking in - I've got 382 players done, 278 to go...

I'm having a hard time finding information about who throws a knuckle-curve, and I've also seen conflicting information about this pitch in general; I've seen three different descriptions, and I'm not sure which one the in-game knuckle curve represents... From what I've read, a knuckle-curve is not the same as a spike curve, which is used by guys like Kimbrel, McDonald, Hughes, etc.

I ran a test by giving one pitcher each variation of curveball with maximum break ratings, and the knuckle-curve has far less break than the other three variations; isn't the whole point of throwing a spike curve to increase the amount of break on the pitch? I'm also cross-referencing with gameday's classifications, and there are only three pitchers who throw what they deem a knuckle-curve: AJ, Adcock, and Mazarro.

My question to you all: how should I handle this in the edits?

By the way, here is an article from The Hardball Times, it says the last guy to throw a true knuckle-curve was Jason Isringhausen

That article is simply defining the knuckle-curve in its historical context. The knuckle-curve is now what the article denotes as not being a knuckle-curve.

Besides the players you listed, there are a few others who throw this pitch in the majors and minors, but I can't remember who they are.

I'm glad that you analyzed the break. It should break more than the others. If it doesn't, I say just give them whatever best resembles it.

Mets- Manny Acosta- remove curve. Slider should be #2.
                  http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx...725&position=P

                  Mets- Dillon Gee
Remove Slider, Add Cutter. He throws a slider 4% but the cutter 7%
Curve- 73 MPH not 79. and he throws the curve only 9% of the time.
His 2FB should be first or second. Not last.

                  Padres- Ernesto Frieri
                  Remove- 2FB, Slider
Change from 80 to 84 MPH. He only throws this 1%. could maybe remove it too.
                  4 FB 90 to 92
                  http://brooksbaseball.net/player_car...?player=457117

                  Padres- Joe Thatcher
Remove 4FB. Cutter is #1 pitch. increase speed from 87 to 88 MPH on cutter.
Add Change- 81 MPH. only throws it 1% but we need 3 pitches.
                  http://brooksbaseball.net/player_car...?player=491159

                  Padres- Luke Gregerson
Add sinker. #2 pitch after slider. 90 MPH
Slider from 83 to 85 MPH
                  http://brooksbaseball.net/player_car...?player=502381

                  Padres- Anthony Bass
Changeup from 80 to 84.5 MPH, slider from 84 to 85 MPH
                  http://www.brooksbaseball.net/player...?player=542914

                  Detroit- Rick Porcello
                  Slider 80 to 83 MPH
                  Change 80 to 82 MPH
Already a post with changing the #1 pitch to 2 seamer.

I noticed Derek Holland's fastball is too slow. Last year, he averaged 94.1 and topped out at 96 on his FB last year and it topped out at 91-92 in the game before I increased the velocity.

Chris Carpenter (STL) does not throw 96. He averages 92 MPH on his FB, and less than that on his 2FB.

Tim Hudson's fastball velocity needs to be lowered a tad. I pitched with him the other day and he was costantly hitting 95 and 96 with his fastball which is crazy. His average was 90 and he topped out at 92 or 93.
