Just noticed on OP that play set has baserunner speed at 3 but the Sim set has it at 6 ...Is this correct?

Quick manage set now fixed and updated.

Only difference should be cpu/hum starter stamina and injury slider.

Another update from the land of the Reds Franchise I'm running...

I was only able to play 1 game last night, and boy was it something!

TL.DR: Sliders are playing great and feel awesome.

Amir Garrett against Lance Lynn 0-3 Reds v/s 3-0 Cards

Garrett did ok, but was hurt by the long ball. Ended up only going 4 innings giving up 4 runs and I believe 6 hits.

But here's the awesome part... he felt like a rookie making his debut. I had a lot of counts end up 2-2, 3-2. I could get ahead 0-1,1-2, etc fairly consistently, but trying to get them to chase something and swing and miss was darn near impossible! This to me felt exactly like it should have. Usually rookies come up and don't last long in games because they get ahead in counts and then try and nibble and make a perfect pitch. Exactly what I tried to do, and it didn't quite work out.

Either way, I was down 4-1 in the 9th inning, and the Cards bring in Oh to try and close it out.

I was kind of down thinking that even with changing my approach, I still hadn't seen a lot of improvement on the offensive side.

And then... boom! The offense came alive. I got the benefit of a horrible play by Fowler in center where he tried to dive for a ball and missed it. I ended up with a lead off triple. Then Oh walked the next batter. Then a strike out. Next batter, pinch hitter for the 9 spot, and it's a bloop single that scores the runner from third, and the guy on 1st goes 1st to 3rd. So 1 out runners on the corners, down 4-2, top of the line up coming up.

Surprisingly the Cards took out their closer to bring in Zack Duke, I know this may raise some eyebrows, but I didn't even blink about it. Several things: 1) I have no clue how much stamina Oh had, maybe he was already tired when he came in. 2) He was clearly struggling and I had all the momentum with 2 switch hitters and Votto coming up, so he went to a lefty. Hamilton is much better left handed than right handed.

Either way, Duke walks Hamilton to start things off. Bases loaded Peraza smacks a ball back up the middle, 2 runs score, tie game! Votto stuck out, and my rally died.

I bring in Iglesias for the 9th, shuts them down 1-2-3, headed to extras!

I get a runner on against Siegrest, and then Cozart steps up to the plate and drives a ball just over the wall in center for 2 run homer!

I feel like I've got the game in hand now. Bottom of the 10th, I leave Iglesias in. He had a quick 9th and in real life he goes more than 1 inning without issue. I struck out the first batter. Then gave up a single, no biggie. Struck out the next batter. I then have an 0-2 count on Piscotty. I leave a pitch out over the plate, and he goes opposite field with it and hits a 2 run homer to tie the game.

I then strike out the next batter....

Bottom of 11, Peralta hits a walk off homer and I lose 7-6.


Either way, I finally got my offense going a bit, but the pitching let me down. Things are playing/feeling great and I'm really enjoying it so far! These sliders rock!

Which set would you recommend if you use Quick Manage but jump in and out of the game?

Use the quick manage. It works great for jumping in and out. You are just giving up the injury slider for the innings you are playing. Not a big deal.

I use quick manage mainly in classic season franchises where I play with no injuries (season mode/cpu roster control) but if I use it in franchise it may be to get through a blow out game kinda thing. I seem trapped playing every game LOL.

If not I let critical situations happen in the schedule screen for my team. And these are perfect for that to keep injuries realistic at default 5.

Fielder speed down to 3 (from 4)

Steal frequency down to default 5 (from 6)

Hit variety and OF ratings really shine with fielder speed at 3

Easy SB's from blocked balls in the dirt greatly curtailed with the combination of baserunner speed at 3 and steal frequency at default 5

With the baserunner speed down to 3, how are the straight up steals looking? What kind of % of success are people seeing? I know stealing ability is up to kind of offset this and I'm just curious as to if it is enough.

Just started my franchise, I've only stolen twice so far, both with Trea Turner (96 speed). I have auto base running on if that matters. He was thrown out both times by a catcher around 75/75 arm speed and accuracy.

I get thrown out 4 out of 5 times with a 80 speed guy. Not much success here

Hey guys, I like a lot of the things you did with these sliders, however I am finding it too easy to win games, and I am hitting a lot of home runs. Through 6 playoff games with the Jays, using these sliders I have hit over 20 home runs, and I have only lost one game. The five wins have not been close games. Do you think I should up the difficulty level from All Star?

Armor, would you suggest using the sim settings for all the other league games in franchise mode, or are they only really needed for games you quick manage? For example, play my Braves game, then load up the sim sliders and sim the rest of the day's MLB games and proceed to the next day?

Correct use them for both sim and quick manage games.

Sorry this is an unrelated question to sliders but when I put players on the DL manually after 10 or 60 days the CPU doesn't activate them and make the roster moves right?
I'll have to do that stuff manually for all 30 teams?

They will activate them automatically when they are healthy (not when their DL stint is up) but won't make any corresponding moves automatically.

Ok I see so after 9 days or so I check to see if their off the DL and then make the roster moves to bring them back to their original league if needed?
