You should get a pop up that days they have been activated if they are on the MLB team. I don't think you get a pop up if they are in the minors.

Completely got screwed by automatic fielding. Last year if your 1B would field the ball you would hold down O and he would run to 1st well now they flip it to the pitcher who both times was on the freaking mound. Just a heads up people.

Do you think I should up the difficulty level from All Star?

I'm the jays also and hit a lot of mammoth shots even with guys like Pillar. Also I find a lot of balls in the dirt advancing runners. A patch could probably help better than slider adjustments. Either way I'm having a lot of fun.

volsfan39, how many team homers you got? I've just started my franchise. I'm 7 games into the season. I think I have 9 homers total. I consider myself an above average player. This is the only stat that concerns me. I'm definitely going to play at least 20 games or more, but if the homers get out of hand. I guess I will move on to another slider set.

I think with the cubs. I should probably have 200 to 215 homers for the season.

Still having fun with the game!!!

One other thing, I'm not having trouble with below average or average power guys hitting a lot of homers. So that's a plus.

            9/7*162 = ~208

            So what's the issue?

I'm not saying it's an issue now. If it does get out of hand like last year, I will probably move on to another set. Then again I might just play all 162 games no matter what.

Anyone have any hitting tips. I either crush it for a HR or nothing. Honestly couldn't hit water if I fell from a boat keep being late on fast and way ahead of off speed.

Up timing for help with getting more forgiveness on timing. Increase offspeed speed while keeping fastball speed down to lower the gap. Then Maybe inch offspeed back down once you're learning to time it better.

I've been playing this game for about 5 years now, and I used to absolutely suck at it. At this point, I'm okay, but I by no means have it figured out yet. Just when I think I may need to move up a level from All-Star, I get into a slump and get humbled. But here's what works for me:

If you're struggling, I'd suggest giving Dynamic Hitting a shot because it was my savior in this game - without it, I'd have given up. You gotta kind of swallow your pride a bit because it starts you out on beginner hitting, but it will move you up quickly if you're crushing the ball all over the place.

Once you get up into mid-Veteran level, dial-back the "Dynamic Hitting Progression Speed" setting (or whatever it's called)in the sliders a few notches. What I found is that if I struggled for a couple of games due to facing good pitchers, the sliders regressed anyway. Eventually, you'll find that the mid- to -high Veteran level is comfortable. At that point, just go to All-Star hitting because you'll be ready.

More than anything else, keep playing, and realize you'll have games where you get 9 or 10 hits, but then you'll have other games where you're just lucky to put the ball into play. That's just the nature of the game, and I struggled with that when I first started playing MLBTS because I was so used to playing games like FIFA and Madden where I could basically score at will. This game will humble you quickly, but that's what makes it so great!

After saying I was getting crushed pitching, I took yalls tips and went 14 innings opening day vs Pirates. Allowed 1 run that came first innning. Went 13 straight without one.

Hell of a game and ended up walking off with a bases loaded sac fly.

Only one issue, their SP pitched 7 great innings but the RP came in and they kept him in for 6 innings before finally bringing another one in during the bottom of the 14th.

Switched to meter as I'm just getting very bored with Classic. Unless you're precise, which I'm not pitches can really get erratic. I'm walking more guys with meter now. Feels better and more challenging right now. Maybe I'll switch back eventually.

Anybody can help? When I'm batting, there is no red/blue areas on my PCI anymore for any batter! (I'm playing normal friendly vs CPU, not Rtts or franchise)
My Difficulty dynamic and is currently on rookie+... do i need to activate an option for the red/blue areas to appear again before each player at bat???
