For the more observant who may notice changes in the "last edited" date/time; I'll be tweaking the OP write-up throughout the day. I won't be changing any sliders or anything from last night. I just want to add more context and provide some more background information for our newer players.

Finally reached Allstar+ for both hitting and pitching. That was a grind, glad it’s over!

Really? I did it in like 20 mins. I just loaded up a play now game using a Legends team vs a AA team and cranked the sensitivity slider.

I had asked if there were significant differences between the PS5 and PS4 versions of the show. Most people are saying no. However I’m just not seeing anything remotely close to a competitive offense from the computer. Literally. Nothing. It took 20 games for my team ERA to finally be above two. On all star and all star +. I’m hoping I’m not going to have to pitch on HOF because it would be counterproductive for the intentions of this set.

Finally got my difficulty to AS+ and ran my first test game with new sliders and boy let me tell you it did not disappoint.

Im the Brewers @ the Cubs. Ill just start this story at the bottom of the 8th. There is 2 outs, no one on, and Rizzos at the play down in the count 0-2. He either fouls off or I throw a ball for 8 consecutive pitches. He gets the count back to 3-2...... I try to back door a slider and it hangs over the plate (I literally shook my head as soon as I released it). Fair to say Rizzo absolutely blast one into RF to make it a 2-2 game. I end up getting out of the inning, neither team scores in the 9th so fast forward to the 10th. I forgot I left the extra inning runner rule on so it prompts me I should probably use a pinch runner because my catcher is going to be the man on 2nd. I, admittedly not paying attention to the position chose to put my bench RF in to pinch run for him. 1st guy up hits a grounder to 1st I advanced the runner at 2nd. So now 1 out and a runner at 3rd the pitching spot comes up and again I'm prompted to use a pinch hitter I choose the only non pitcher left on the bench which is a backup 2nd baseman. He flys to right I try and go home and Jason Heyward throws me out... So get to the bottom of the 10th i dont have a catcher for christ sake. 1st pitch I throw is wild he misses it runner advances to 3rd. 2nd pitch is a swing and a miss. 3rd pitch is ANOTHER wild pitch and the runner scores so the Cubs win 3-2 on a wild pitch. I so wanted to be fumigate but how could I? I'm the one that takes my catcher off the field knowing hes the only one I had. (I pinched hit with my backup catcher in the 7th....) LOL what a game. Sorry for the long post just wanted yall to understand what I just did. [emoji58][emoji58]

The updates made last night should address this. I saw the same general concerns.

I'll probably begin the next phase this weekend: the 80+ game sample size needed to lock-down the set.

You can disable that right before you start up your franchise. I’m sure there is a way to turn it off once you start the season too but I’m not [emoji817] positive on that. I turned it off because I absolutely despise it.

I seen this option when I started my franchise but didn’t know what it was so left it enabled.

Thanks for explanation, I have gone and restarted my franchise and what do you know first game again goes into extra innings, must have been faith lol and all I can say is the extra innings are so much more enjoyable with it off.

For me That extra inning rule just made the game seem cheap and cheesy.

There will be but the roster vault is down. Once it is back up; I'll provide my recommendation.

Unless you only intend on playing a season or two; I do NOT recommend using the game's default rosters.

Hey JoshC, been reading your threads for years, and respect your opinions a lot. This year more than any other (since exp is disabled using slider adjustments) have you thought about just leaving them all at 5, and just saying "this is the way it is".

I just figured id throw that out there.. many of your adjustments are minor, just 1 tick here and there... arn't you always saying this is a fictional environment we're not trying to duplicate real life - something like that..

I think thats what I may try, and just see how "off" things end up feeling not adjusting anything. (personally I like getting exp in franchise as I dont play other modes much)
