It would be fun to put both of your teams in the world series.
I play home team first game, visitor next etc

LMAO, I've so been there. That's something I have really enjoyed about this game (vs 20). Pitchers can absolutely carve you up.

It sounds like you're having issues calibrating your pitch speeds. This is what I suggest doing. Go into practice mode and set up a batting practice where you just see 4-seam FBs. Start with a low velo pitcher (90-92 MPH fastball) and see where your swing timing is. You may have to enter/exit a few times to change the pitch speed slider...but find the highest speed slider setting where you can comfortably pull the ball and get good wood on it.

Now, change to face a pitcher with 95-ish velo on that same pitch speed setting. You should feel somewhat comfortable, but get a range of pulled/pushed outcomes. If you feel overwhelmed at 95, dial the pitch speed slider down 1 notch.

You can try going up against a Chapman after that just to see....but if you did the first two steps right, you SHOULD feel overwhelmed with 100 MPH stuff, but not feel like it's utterly impossible.

Offspeed is trickier to hone-in. After you've honed-in your FB speed setting, set the offspeed slider to the same value. Go up against a pitcher that has a change-up as his number 1 or 2 pitch and a low-ish FB speed. Also make sure there is about a 10 MPH differential between the two. Set up a custom batting practice and set it to where you face both FBs and CHs. Settle into things a bit. If you're just flailing like a fool (I've been there), dial down the offspeed pitch speed slider 1 notch. That SHOULD help you ID the pitch a bit better.

The final thing here...you can spend as much or as little time as you'd like. I suggest that after you "think" you have things dialed-in, try those settings using a variety of hitters in practice.

Thanks, Josh. I'll go into practice mode tonight. I do love the new practice mode and you can pick what pitches and locations you want to see. I just wish you could change sliders in there.

Now you would think by reading this that you would not want to turn the offspeed down 1 from fastball. You would think, well I'm way early on those wouldn't lowering it more make it worse? But I understand that you can recognize those pitches easier if it is slower.

I am just in love with the Fish Eye 2 camera with the whole ballpark view. But I do think wide gives a nice view as well but you can't see down the lines.

It's more about visual recognition than anything.

Some people like to jack everything up to 10...but that's too easy...it just becomes muscle memory at that point (vs skill).

Really if you play any of the same pitch speed sliders for too long it just becomes muscle memory.

Has anyone seen a offensive outburst since the last patch? I’ve scored no less than 10 runs over the last eight games. It’s really out of nowhere.

I’ve just been playing on all star. I’ve never really even tried this + option. I have tried a few times to go up the plus option. But when I get to all star plus on the exhibition games it just goes back to rookie when I go to franchise games?

You have to lock them in once you reach Allstar plus by moving the dynamic difficulty slider to 0 then save.

I found pitch speeds of 8 (fastball) and 7 (offspeed) to be the sweet spot for me in MLBTS 20. As said above, it's more about recognition. How many times I was ahead of a changeup or way behind a fastball. And then have to make adjustments. It's subtle enough for my taste that it made the game come to life.

Yep. I’m a big fan of having fastball speed always being one notch above off pitch speed.

I have to say that I am loving your sliders!!! I copied all the settings and sliders exactly and decided to jump right in.

Im 31 games into my Mets franchise and am currently sitting in first place with a record of 24-7.

I'm loving the pitching sliders. DeGrom has been killing it. He has 45.33 IP with 78 Ks and a 0.43 WHIP. Thor has been masterful too. 36.66 IP with 64Ks and a 0.76 WHIP.

So my pitching has been carrying my team and it has been awesome. I appreciate your sliders, I have never had so much fun pitching lol. By far the best sliders imo

So I went to practice mode for a while and did fastballs with pitch speed at 7/6. I used Ponce De Leon for the Cardinals. He has a 92 mph FB. I am either early or late on them. Even when I knew they would be fastballs. Late on the high ones and early on the lower ones. Then I did nothing but change ups and i was early on everything. So then I did fastballs all up the zone. I was early on those cause I knew what was coming.

I think I just have to break out of the slump or give up on my fish eye 2 cam. But I been using that for years.

Yeah I think camera is a really big deal for hitting. Overlooked, even. Low needs to look low and high and needs to look high for example or you’re really hurting yourself.
                              Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.
