Pitchers fatigued faster with a LOWER rating on the slider.

This is in-correct. Pitchers Fatigue faster the higher you set the slider

            Hi all,

A couple of quick questions since I have not been online but plan to tonight or tomorrow...

            1. does the latest version of sliders on 2K share reflect those on the first page? I noticed a few edits a couple pages back and was unsure if those were ever implemented to the file.

            2. First time downloading share material, so...once I download, how do I use them in my franchise? Does is simply show up as custom in the slider menu?

            Thanks!

fenway I haven't uploaded the newest version on to 2k share with the changes you saw a couple of pages back. I am gonna upload the newer version in about 15 minutes.

As for using them in franchise, I'm not sure how that works if you've already started a franchise. If you haven't started your franchise yet. Download the Sliders. Save them, then load them. When you strt your Franchise they should be loaded & YES they will say "CUSTOM"

I've been playing with the AI Strike Zone Tendency to 0, with Pitch Selection at 80 and Pitch Zone Tendency at 50. With any higher settings, pitchers not only throw too many strikes, but they also don't mix up their pitches and locations enough. With what I'm using it seems like the better pitchers still throw low and away (if that's their IE report) most of the time, but still change locations. I'll have to try like you say Riz and turn them all off and give that a go.

I tried Pitch Speed at 75 and with the power settings where I have them (lower) the game scores resemble softball games. Pitch speed has a significant effect on how hard balls put into play come off the bat.
50 is just way too slow for me..I've tried for a couple games and just can't get the hang of it, feels like everything's a changeup. But you are also right about the pitch speed having an effect on how hard the ball is hit. It was this way with 2K8 also, so nothing has changed there. Very difficult to find a happy medium here. Basically 2K needs to disable this link between speed set by the slider and how hard the ball comes off the bat.

Most CPU pitchers throw low and away and it doesn't matter if I'm facing Sabathia or the 5th starter for the Pirates I notice nothing different. It seems that if Ratings Influence is at 100 you would. Any ideas? Are you guys noticing a difference?
I don't think what you describe has to do with any Rating Influence (don't see that on the AI pitching tab anyhow), but has to do with Pitch Zone Tendency. Most pitchers try to pitch low and away, but lowering the tendency slider, this enables them to "mix-up" their locations more. But if you have this already set to 0, then that's worrisome. But I'm using a setting of 50 and get a decent mix of locations. It seems the better pitchers throw more accurately to their spots than lesser ones do.

Alright people VERSION 3.0 are both updated on the 1st page & via 2K Share... It's been fun creating a BASE for everyone to enjoy. If you don't have access to 2k share make sure you make the changes as posted in the 1st page.

I will still been involved with the thread as discussion continues to help as much I can

Thanks man!! Just dl'd them and am using them now. I'm the yanks vs the tigers and am down 2-1 in the Top of the 6th. Upped the batter contact and power a bit for user (i'm using zone hitting) and everything else seems spot on. I even finally threw out a runner with friggin' posada!!

switching up to release point pitching for the hell of it and starting to get tagged now!!!
                              JUST WIN BABY!!

anybody else using release point pitching (where you go in and turn on at control menu), if so how is it going. I tried it and liked it because was harder to pin point pitches. The only problem is for me the cpu makes contact on everything. I get fewer taken strikes( I do get some pitching corners with 2 step pitching) and fewer swing and misses. I am just curious how everyone else is doing with it and if anyone is having sucess.
