The AI pitching sliders are as of your V.2 spring training sliders, but my question was in reference to seeing more balls as the user pitcher...w/o having to purposely throw them myself. What sliders would a change to give me less control, and make user pitching harder?

Also...would lowering "Pitcher Handedness Influence" help to increase the quality of CPU hitting? With this slider at 100 doesn't it max out the effectiveness of lefties vs lefties etc?

In reference to the User throwing more balls this is the big problem, especially when the AI Hitters are so aggressive.

I think this might be my next project. Here are what my User Pitching Sliders look like:

Pitch Meter Speed- 65
Pitch Speed- 75
Gesture Recognition- 75
Hold Timing Influence- 50
Release Timing Influence- 100
Pitch Rating Influence- 100
Pitch Break Influence- 100
Pitcher Composure Influence- 100

JBH3 I think the only way to make pitching more "random" in the placements and not so pin point. Would be to turn on the 3 stage pitching. It has the time release which juges your accuracy. Then jack up the pitch meter sliders. Make the meter alot quicker should bring more random pitches.

Just a thought. I have not tried that pitching method yet. But it might work.

The mad scientist has been plotting here @ work, on how to get the User Pitching a little more realistic. (Throw more balls) Also on how to tame the AI Aggressiveness a little also. (Take more pitches)..

hey please help me out, i am using default V.3 settings except i lowered my user power down to 55 or maybe lower because i was hitting a lot of homeruns and overall I still am hitting a lot with the mets. every game i play i've been winning by a high score and only giving up 1-3 runs to the opposition, and even pitched a complete game with johan santana.. can anyone help me to get it more realistic?

lol...this is really an odd thing. I played the Orioles in my Franchise today and they swung at everything. I think I saw the two batters take a strike at the first pitch.

I've been messing with not filling the circle up with first pitch fastballs, but it's hit or miss.

I moved AI Batting Success up to 70 or 75, I forget. It was the best game I've played yet!

I don't have the stats in front of me, but it was CC Sabathia vs. James Shields. I stole second with Damon and Gardner in two different innings and each time, with two outs, I scored on a base hit, one with Jeter and the other with Teixeira. I was up 3-0 until the 7th inning when the Rays scored four runs on five hits, then JP Howell came in and shut me down in the bottom half.

The eighth rolls around and I bring in Damaso Marte to face Carl Crawford who singles on the first pitch. I sit Marte for Bruney against BJ Upton who flys out but not before Crawford steals 2nd base! Burrell moves Crawford over to third with a shot to RF and then Bruney K's Longoria looking to end the inning.

The bottom half of the inning after Damon and Jeter both flyout, Teixeira hits a moonshot to LF tying thr game at 4. I bring in Mariano Rivera to finish the game off, first batter Carlos Pena puts one into the upper deck in RF off a low cutter. Then, Mo proceeded to give up three consecutive hits with one scoring.

I ended up losing the game 5-4 and blown save from Mo...too bad for CC who pitched seven innings with five K's (3 looking) while giving up 3 ERs.

Positives:
- Drew 3 walks in this game
- Great results when you work the count, many hits off 2-0 and 3-1 counts. Rewards you for being patient at the plate.
- AWESOME SLIDERS! Good job BFJ and crew!

Negatives:
- Not really a slider issue, but does anyone else get the feeling the CPU scripts what kind of inning it's going to have? Because I pitched a gem until the 6th when they opened the floodgates on me and they weren't even legit hits, I threw WAAAAAAY out of the strikezone and they were getting base knocks...

had to write about the game I just had. Rays vs orioles Had david price pitching. He threw a 2 hit shutout with 9 strikeouts. One of which was a back slider inside on aubrey huff. He jumped out of the way and thought it was a walk. I also faced the minimum batters in the game. Brian roberts had both hits. Got him out once on a fielders choice then threw out markakis trying to steal second. Also picked off Roberts taking a huge lead off of 2nd.

As far as offense biggest outburst of the season. 12 hits 6 runs. Carlos pena had an inside the park homer. I traded the carl crawford, josh bartlett and troy percival for hanley ramirez and hanley went 3 for 4 with two doubles. Backup cather went 2-4.

so far I am 2-3. Really liking the game and the Rays.
