Really liking the slider changes so far. Had a great game as Boston (Me) against the White Sox in a MLB Today matchup. I went with Wakefield and he dominated. Overall a fun game.

Hey MK. After have tried your sliders again.. I must confess, that they really work. The difference is that now i put them starting by the default All Star. Really make the difference.

But I have one question... With Pitch Control at 25. I don't see a pattern to where the ball goes.. Up or Down, To the right or left.

I mean when i make the gesture to the pitch has any pattern to where the ball goes ?
In a fastball if i get a max speed and target the SZ down in the corner, they usually goes down the SZ, if i get a 90% the ball goes up and more to the right.

The Splitter, and the Curveball they usually goes Up if i target In the low corner of the SZ.

The Slider, 2 seam and cutter are the most unpredictable.

So the question is.. The Location (Left or Right) and (Up or Down) in what way is influenced by the gesture and the % of power that it gets ?

I'm having some trouble in the games with a lot of walks and sometimes 50/55 % of strikes even with Sabathia. Because even with a good gesture and The Max Power some balls really don't hit the spot, they were supposed to hit. Especially the fastballs in the low corner that always goes down the SZ.

Do u have any tips ?

I already played some games with the pitch analyzer on to find some pattern to where to ball is supposed to go depending on the gestures and power.... I get the gestures really nice, the power that has a major variety.

      Thanks.

These sliders are pretty awesome. AI pitch success at 60 seems perfect.

Just had one of my better games in my windians francise. Beat the Royals 7-6 in 13 innings! Gave up the early 2-0 lead. Then in the 3rd gotta 3 run bomb from brantley to go up 3-2. Alex white was pretty dominant. Got 2 more in the 5th to go up 5-2 going into the bottom of the 7th. Gave up the lead in the bottom of the 7th to make it 6-5. Gotta sac fly from santana to tie the game at 6 and it went to extras. Rafael perez gave me 3 strong innings out of the pen. In the 12th they had runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. Gotta k to end the threat. In the top of the 13th got a solo jack from Laporta to go up 7-6. CP came in the bottom half. They had runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out and got out of it.

These are great sliders and I'm having great games. Learning to become more patient at the plate having a blast

Must be a nice feeling, Mike, to have your sliders locked in. I'm sure these are solid, based off the work you did for NBA 2K11. I'll probably pick this game back up whenever the price drops.

Dan... yeah, it is. these are SOLID. have given me the best baseball sim experience I've ever played.

Played today's Giants (cpu) at Cardinals (me) matchup. I won 2-1. I trailed 1-0 in the 3rd as the Giants got an RBI triple.

I tied it at 1 in the 5th, making a tough call by pinch-hitting for Lance Lynn. Got a single by Craig. sacrificed him over to 2nd. Berkman laced an RBI double in the gap to score a run. Brought in Cleto (using my rosters that I keep updated) and he went 2 scoreless innings. I later got an RBI single by Pujols to take the lead. Giants had runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the 8th - nobody out. Used my bullpen wisely to get a strikeout, ground out (they moved the tying run to 3B) and then got a flyout to deep LF to end the inning. Salas came in a shut the door, striking out 2 for the save.

I had 9 hits (7 singles, 2 doubles) and the Giants had 8 hits (6 singles, double, triple). I struck out 12 times (chased some bad pitches late in the game) and struck out the Giants 8 times, walking 2.

The wide array of games I'm getting with these sliders is really amazing...

Mk, what have you changed? There's nothing in red to indicate that you've changed anything from the previous tweaks.

Nothing... That's why I removed all the red ink and finalized them. You might want to double-check your numbers to verify you've got the final set, but if you've stayed with this thread you should have them.

hey man loving your sliders. this is the only game I play right now. Had another great game tonight. Beat the Angels 7-4. Took a 2-0 lead on a 2 out 2 run bomb from Mark Reynolds. Stayed that way for quite a while. Masterson was pretty dominate. He has a nasty sinker. Pitched a shut-out through 5 when the tied the game at 2. Other than the homer in the first, Weaver shut me down. I think he only had like 75 pitches through 8 innings lol. His delivery really through me off. Couldn't adjust too it. Through a lot off off speed stuff and was out in front of everything.

After they tied it in the 5th, I got lucky in the 7th. Got runners at the corners with 1 out. Took advantage of CPU glitches. Stole 2nd, the catcher through it to 3rd, then he threw it 2 2nd into CF lol and I was able to take the 3-2 lead. In the 8th they took the lead back 4-3 going into the 9th they pulled Weaver thank god. Got a lead-off single by Grady, then Santana whacked a 2 run bomb to take the lead 5-4. Got 2 more in the 9th and CP mowed them down 1-2-3 to win the game.

I'm loving these. Can't put the game down. Played NBA 2K11 a lot but this is the only game I play now. I am pretty sure that it's a glitch in the game that if you runners on 1st and 3rd and steal 2nd that the CPU always throws to 3rd and never tries to get the runner out at 2nd am I correct?

Great sliders and I'm loving this game.

Yeah, honestly this last set has been fantastic. I love it. I personally can't decide if I'm going to use the strike zone on or off, and that's the only thing holding me back from starting my real franchise. With the strike zone I can be more patient and am fooled less, but I tend to crush the ball more. It's weird how big of a difference it makes for me.

My preference is on, with Batter's Eye frequency set to 35. On the one hand, getting pre-pitch info is not realistic. On the other, is does simulate that ability a hitter has when hitting well to slow down time enough to read a pitch and react to it perfectly. It really does help differentiate good and bad hitters.

If you are still hitting to well, decrease USER contact or increase CPU pitch success.

I even leave the strike zone on for pitching now, as control is variable enough, that being able to aim is not a guarantee strike. But I do think that using the IE info makes for more interesting decisions as you approach how to get a hitter out. And you need the strike zone on to see it.

If you don't want it, you can always use the D-pad to bring up even more detailed IE information the hitter. But that can really start to slow down the game. so it kind of depends on the mood I am in.

But strike zone is always on for hitting when I play. If Batter's Eye still pooped up with it off, I might turn it off. Aesthetically, I'd like it off.

I only preview in advance ("scouting" if you will) what pitch types a pitcher throws. I've played so many games that I kinda have a firm grasp on they do and can identify them fairly quick. Now, hitting them is another story altogether.

Last night I played the Rangers (cpu) at Cleveland (me) game. I lost 3-0. Bush was an emergency starter and the guy had me off balance all night long. Fastball only touches 88 and throws a LOT of offspeed stuff that I could never time up. I had runners at 1st and 3rd with 2 out in the 9th and lined out. Fun game, though...

Man, these sliders are legit. I love how I can get dominated by an ace one game, and then bounce back the next day with an offensive explosion. Great job on these, bro. Your work is much appreciated

I'm enjoying your sliders a lot. The only thing I seem to have a problem with is pitching. The ball never seems to go where I pitch it to. I'm not really sure exactly what I'm doing wrong.
