Has anybody tried changing help defense in coach settings? Any thoughts on this?

Just played my first game against Golden State and I got pantsed. I play as the Clippers this year and am very comfortable dropping back on pick and roll. I can't do that against GS so I switched everything. I only gave up 11 3s but this scheme requires a lot of practise on the sticks. I found the AI very reliable, I was the weak link.

Here's one example. I think I was controlling Redick but didnt stay attached to Durant, and got burned.

I´ve really improved my defense and I think I mostly know how to use defensive settings. However, there are still 2 issues that drive me crazy.
(might have been discussed before in this thread, sorry then...)

          a) During fast breaks my SGs always try to protect the empty (!) paint, while the opponent´s SG virtually always hits the easy corner three.

          b) Quite often my center stands next to an opposing player in the paint and watches the other guy shoot or dunk instead of contesting.

In these cases the AI is absolutely stupid and unrealisitic. Is there any other way than controlling the players manually to stop this extremely annoying You can´t control all players manually and no matter how good you play on defense the AI mistakes will hurt you a lot.

Yeah this same stuff is happening to me. Also after I score. The CPU always seems to beat my guys back down the floor, it's insane. Also, then my CPU teammates like D-Wade let's a guy beat him back door will he reacts 3 secs to late. And Wade is a high rated defender. It's like the CPU's defenders can play lock down defense while your top defenders still play like ****. I don't mind a challenge, but damn 2k ain't gotta cheat me. ACE should be adjusting right. If I'm locking locking someone up they should have to go somewhere else with the ball for the time being. ACE is to one-sided.

Nice video but you are mistaken for tag on roll and pre-rotate. If you put tag on roll to yes you will get help from the weak side on the roller. If you put pre-rotate on LBJ you will see a player come to the nail to help from the weak side when LBJ is on the wing in an iso. I think it's explained in the first page of this thread.

Can anyone comment on if the hard hedge has been fixed? At least to a state where it is viable?

Has anyone figured out something resembling a solution to stop all those passes in the paint between the opposition's big men? Or we're gonna trust our luck till September 2018?

Yepp, that's the thing I hate the most with this game at this point. Online it is 'cheesable' like hell... :-(

                          Super dope tutorial.
I have two jobs so it is hard to sit at home for days trying to figure out all these defensive settings.

I've tried using the Stay Attached hedge defense the last couple of games on PNO and I was pleased with the movement of my defense. I think it may be the way forward once I complete the puzzle with the appropriate Help and rotation settings. I played off-ball most of the time switching to the wing defender on weak side. The on-ball defender does a great job and hedge defender stays attached the whole time and I got a bunch of steals since there is virtually no separation from their screen player while I control the rotation of weak-side defender stopping the corner 3 and shrinking the floor a bit at the same time. The quality of the opposition is questionable, but the screen is the screen and movements remain relatively similar irrespective of the opposition. The only player I use different settings on is Curry. I use Ice on him and again switch to weak side defender to control the rotation and help. I will test Stay Attached more. Anyone tried this or has some thoughts?

Is there any way to limit the tendency of my post defenders to try to steal EVERY post pass thus putting them out of position to defend the shot?

                              Any help would be great.

Reduce the play passing lanes slider for user? Also, are you playing physical defense? If so downshift to neutral.
