Play MyTeam or Park/Rec. Yea yea i know it's gotten old, but that's what it is.

All these back and forth talk of what's the issue, what are we looking, all that positive contribution etc. it doesn't really make sense to 2k. If we were to play Park, MyTEAM etc. and give vague instances on twitter or make some cheeser Youtuber to voice it as one phrase rather than all these good basketball opinions etc. then we would have gotten whatever we wanted as they were pretty fast and reactive to turning off the help defense for those 'comp' guys per se.

Czar hasn’t been on Twitter since the defense change but was on it constantly before then. Hasn’t streamed but once since as well.

Wonder if that’s a coincidence or if there’s something to that.

All I can think about is that he was forced to implement changes he does not agree with completely and thus keeps himself away from every outside voice. I mean the games when they are released are in my opinion what the devs actually want the game to look and play like. Only when theres a big outcry in the social media cancer world stuff gets changed in another direction which I think is not the direction that the devs originally envisioned. But someone above them tells them to to it, so they have to.

If this is true, then he should not comment. Czar is good at his job, they shouldn’t make him a pr guy. I feel bad for him. He should be able to make the game, and not have to get into commenting on things he can’t contro.

They can shove it then. I've already decided no more day 1 buys at full price anymore. I'm only buying 2k in the future until after its on sale and I can confirm here on os that they haven't ruined it with a patch weeks/months after release.

Sorry to vent but man, I've been buying this series since 2k5 and to see the deterioration of this series pisses me off.

Remember when 2k used to come with a label on the front that said "the number 1 basketball SIM game"?

The fact they no longer bother with that says a lot.

At this point I'll buy a new NBA Live game (even if it's terrible) just to stick it to 2k.

Ohhhh The legend of Czar. I'm not saying any of what you guys are claiming isn't true, it may very well be. It also might not lol.

The guy is fallible just like anyone else. If he's in charge of the help D aspect of gameplay then he's accountable for it in my book unless there is some evidence he's not.

I just don't get why he seemingly always gets the benefit of the doubt.

I absolutely love the idea of a stepback shot success slider.

2Ks stepback animations have been super slow, specially against the CPU (Im an offline guy of course) and the shot success is suuuuper low.

As someone said before, its a staple of the game nowadays, players practice those as much as any other shot and the consistency they hit it with is way higher than it was even 5 years ago

Anyone noticed elbow defenders at the 3 point line leaving their man to contest non shooters in the corners? I'll post a few from my last game when I get a chance.

Well post patch the defense is much amped up.

I used to be able to beat Duncan Robinson off the dribble with anyone. Now he will make players like Bogi, Hunter, and Huerter pick up their dribble. Also seeing more help defense on drives, and more kick out 3’s. More chase down blocks though. So the game is more similar to release imo. I think the weaker on ball defense was more realistic, but I welcome the rotations. Anyone else seeing this?
