I had to switch to Pro, down from Superstar because EVERY SINGLE TIME someone would attempt to steal the ball from my PG (with 94 ball security, and 90+ hands/passing/off-hand dribbling), they succeeded. Got about 5-6 TOs/game just from the CPU's defenders swiping. Wish there were sliders. Also, wish we could turn off CPU trading until like 2 weeks before the deadline...it's ridiculous. At least a trade or two per week. Do the trades EVER stop? REALLY ruining My Player entirely for me.

After I got 1000th career point and 500th assist, I got Ball Security to 97. But, I still had 18 TOs in my last 2 games. Few of them were stupid mistakes, a few stolen away, most of them were from CPU big men and CPU sliding. After my next game, I should be able to max it. Then I will max out Off-Hand Dribbling. It is tough because since I only play key games I face the best PGs and most of the teams are defensive teams.

Other than Ball Handling, I need to boost Layup, max out Shoot in Traffic, and Steal. Definitely Layup, I hate missing chances of easy points. I have to find another away to score besides shooting mid range Js.

They got so annoying for me I just started a new one even though I had an 86 overall

I am about to continue with my PF. I havent touched it in a while. Since I am in the 3rd year, outdated rosters isnt a problem. I wanna take a break from my PG.

Question for the people playing on harder difficulties:Do you think it is better to master lower difficulties than move up, or start out at higher difficulties and learn the game that way?
I figured the latter would be the best way, that's how I've learned other sports games. But it isn't really working out this time.

Th problem with moving up the Difficulty levels is that expectations change so dramatically. The gameplay difficulty for the User/MyPlayer; Starting at 60 on Pro, is exactly the same as being Overall 90 @ Superstar, IMHO.

The difference is what you "expect" your teammates to be able to accomplish and what the AI/CPU can reasonably achieve.

The "rubberbanding" and the length of their runs is dramatically stronger and longer on the higher skill levels to the point where you feel you are getting "jobbed" (cheated) by the AI.

Now if you start from the begining at the higher level, you do not know the difference...Ignorance is Bliss!!!

For 2k13; I will probably start at All-Star and never change the Difficulty unless someone in this Forum tells me that the AI's reliance on the 3-pt to make the game competitive has been modified to a reasonable level.

Even though I can successfully play on Superstar/SIM; I HATE IT, and BC I can, I am stuck in this rut!!!

Here is a sliding scale of Overall Rating and when they match the Difficulty levels based on my experience:

Pro = 60 to 80
All Star = 82 to 92
Superstar = 92
HoF - If you can play like a beast on Superstar go the rest of the way.

I decided to mess around with my new SG for a bit. Through it on Pro/Sim so I can get used to not playing PG. Holy crap this sucks. I know that the release feedback is way too forgiving when they tell you that it hit the sweet spot, but I only had one shot that was not a B+ or higher selection combined with a green release, and somehow I only shot for 21% in the game.
Sigh. And this was on Pro ffs. Maybe I need to switch up my base/release animations or something.

I fired up my Center/Kings yesterday, and got in 4 good ones before the NCAA Tourn. came on...can't tell you how much fun it was not controlling the rock for a change!

Fully agree.
It was a great feeling not turning over the ball 8+ times. I only had 1 TO in my game with my PF and I maxed all my Ball Handling things. I was able to dominate the game.

I had a great game with my PF. I forgot how much fun it was and how much fun it felt to actually win a game. With my PG, we were getting blowed out every game. I had a dominate game. I hat 37 pts, 17rebs, 2 steals, 1 Block and only 1 TO.
I definitely plan on continuing my PFs career. I remember that I was boosting Off and Def Awr so I can boost OVR. But, I boost Hustle from 75 to 86. I will max that out. Then continue with Off/Def Awr maxed.

I had a pretty fun game 4 against the Mavericks. The Jazz were looking for a sweep, but were denied by the defending champions 120-115 even when Dirk fouled out with 1:10 left in a 109-109 game.

second time asking this question, didn't really get a response i was hoping for.

how can i win in my player? if i'm playing allstar/superstar/hof i always lose no matter what team i have. it sucks having my team playing no defense while the other teams are sticking to me like glue. i hate playing pro because there is no challenge involved

I can't really answer without enough info, what is your team? and what is your position? I mean I lose games, but on All Star Sim I can win.

Do bad teams actually try to build around you in the offseason? I was drafted by GS but immediately requested a trade to the Raptors and I know nothing will happen through a trade because there's no one of value on this team so my only hope is through free agency Team has 11 million in cap so there's definitely room.

Sorry for all the whiny posts from those of us who aren't good at the game lately, but another question: when you guys are playing positions that are not PG (SG, in this case) do you turn off plays and take control of the team as if you were a PG in order to win? Or are you able to win by just fulfilling your role well within the scheme and plays called by the AI PG?

i am in utah on hall of fame 0-6 my team literally cant win,lose by 30-40 points,i am pg athletic,i cant have so much assists in game and points i am 6'0 ,so i am not tall,i want to put some points in pass first at least till it gets 80 ,can someone give me some good tips please,i play on hall of fame of course,i want to be player like allen iverson

Dam, that sucks...

It's really making me mad, because if they fixed that and player progression, this mode and game in general would be PERFECT! unfortunately, it's unplayable now for me with these two problems.
