Deron and D12 would be dirty. You throw a spot up shooter on the wing, and you have a team that would be VERY tough to stop on the offensive side of the ball.

The BK Nets are starting to look real good if this goes down. That's not a lot to give up to get the top center in the game.

Someone is ASKING to be trade TO the Nets and that some is a very good player.

That's the part I'm still in shock about because usually it's the other way around. But somebody WANTS to come here.

As for the deal, I love Brook since the day we drafted him, but I make that 10 days out of the week and 3 times on Tuesday because that gives you the potential to the best PG-C Combo since what? Magic and Kareem? Not to mention you'd be in contention for YEARS with that.

Assuming the current deal goes down, that still leaves us with Morrow, Brooks, James, Jordan Williams, so we would still need to address the PF spot but we'd be in good shape going into the season compared to last year.

they are also moving to a bigger market and jay z and the other guy are willing to spend. i love seeing the underdog teams come up and its about time for the nets to come up again

Not to mention so more nationally televised games for the Nets LOL. I'm not an NBA League Pass subscriber, and I don't have MSG, so the only time I get to see Nets games is....never LOL. The last Nets game I got to actually see was when I went to an away game they had against the Pacers. That was back in April 2010.

Magic are saying that the Nets owner Prokorov and GM King met last night with Howard in Miami without the Magics consent.

Magic is furious and filed tampering charges which if true will be a huge blow to Nets and draft picks

I just don't see how they can "prove" that they met. Unless Howard slipped up in his meeting w/ the officials from the Magic and said something about it.

Of course Riley met w/ Lebron/Bosh. Numerous folk from NY probably met w/ Melo... pitiful.

The New Jersey Nets met with Dwight Howard Thursday night in a move that would be a violation of the league's tampering rules, according to multiple sources.

Howard met with Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov and the Nets general manager Billy King in Miami, sources said. Howard was joined by a few business associates.

The meeting violates the NBA's tampering rules because Howard's current team, the Orlando Magic, did not know about the meeting or give the Nets permission to meet with Howard, according to the sources.

NBA.com reported that the Magic are considering filing tampering charges against two teams, one being the Nets. SI.com reported that the other team is the Houston Rockets.

The meeting was the first between Howard and the Nets but the second between Howard's representatives and the Nets.

At the meeting, the group discussed a deal in which Howard would be traded to New Jersey. The plan was for Howard to ask Orlando to trade him Friday morning.

Sources said the Magic had been discussing a possible trade with New Jersey the past few days but that nothing had been agreed to.
