I think if he refine's his handles a tad, he already has the shooting stroke and basketball IQ, and will be the Gem of the draft. Is he a once in a lifetime player? No, but he'll be a heck of a player.

Kemba could have stepped in behind B-Diddy. Kemba is not the explosive scorer he had to be this year at UConn. He filled the void because they needed him to. He is a VERY nice Point Guard.

The Cavs have a logjam at PF right now, so JJ or someone has to go. If They take a Kemba/Williams combo, you have a really nice duo to build around. I like Tristan but he's nowhere near a 4 pick. They could have/should have held onto the 32 pick, grabbed Williams/Kemba combo, and be pretty well filled at the 1, 3, & 4 positions moving forward.

Granted, this is all my opinion, and some or most won't agree with it. But in my time watching and looking at what I would have done, that's the best case scenario.

Overall, Kyrie will have a good solid career, but I think he'll be one upped by Williams, and Kemba will have as good of a career. Just my thoughts.

i promise everytime i see his draft card brought up on espn or nbatv it says that Derrick Williams is 6'7 1/4

that is not even a tall 3.

I like the Kemba pick as well at that spot. Quite honestly though, he has a ways to go before he posseses the natural PG skills that DJ has let alone Felton.

I think it's a little unrealistic to say he will step in and be our PG of the future or that he makes DJ Augustin expendable (which is what I've been hearing alot). Augustin is a PG, Walker is a scorer who can play the PG position. Walker can create his own shot, get to the rim, finish at the rim, and shoot on different planes. But he doesn't have the vision, passing ability, ability to set tempo and pace, etc. that Augustin has on the NBA level yet. I watched alot of Walker when he was more of a natural PG and still didn't think he was better at that than DJ at Texas. He's not even nearly the shooter from 3 DJ is. I do like Kemba for his scoring ability and think if he can put up 8 to 13 PPG while logging some PG minutes, than he will be a very valuable roleplayer for us.

Who's to say Kemba doesn't become an all-star PG in the league?
Actually, Sacramento drafted Gerald, where he did nothing for 3 years before getting traded to Charlotte.

Edit: God, I really have to stop posting stuff 15 minutes after other people posted the same thing. Smh at myself lol, I get so excited that I can correct someone that

          He wasn't traded.....

DJ is the better shooter (when he is confident) and Kemba is more of a playmaker, person to create his own shot. They compliment each other, but DJ is more than likely gone.

that is not even a tall 3.
Draft combine had him at 6'7 3/4" without shoes, 6'8' 3/4" with shoes, with a 7'1.5" wing span. You're talking about a guy who shot 58% from 3, a 34.5" Vertical, 19.5ppg and 8 rpg. Anyone with as pure of a stroke at that height is a guy that I'll put money on.

He was probably my favorite player in the college game last year. Dude brings his lunchbox and puts in work every game. Good, hard nosed talent is hard to come by.

I'd pick him 10 out of 10 times over a pure PG who played 11 games because of a toe injury. It was smart of him to sit out no doubt, to rest the toe and let it heal, but I still take the big body with a nice all around game.

Would love to hear your reasoning on this comment. But frankly after hearing your opinion on other topics, I really don't care.

Talk to me when you guys win something. Really, anything. A playoff game, division, something.

                          Back to the draft:

I think Williams will probably end up being the best player out of this draft. Not quite sure how Cleveland passed on him. Really don't think with the small sample of games Irving played, that you commit a number 1 pick to him. (I was a supporter of him before, but then really looked at it
) Williams proved he could score in a number of different ways and the guy works his butt off.

You already have Davis and Sessions. They can get you by, especially when there are no expectations anyway.

So, you don't notice the Cubs in your sig?

Of course you don't care, you have a blind hatrid towards the Bobcats and refuse to change your opinion while others are agreeing with me. Is this what you do? People give differing opinions and instead of debating you talk down to others? That's a sure fire way to lose credibility....but I'm sure you already knew that.

                                But...weren't we talking about...basketball?

I don't have a blind hatred for the Bobcats, my friggin favorite player EVER is your owner! I don't think I could root against him if I tried.

So because someone agreed with you, that automatically makes your opinion right, or valid. Someone agreed with me too, so that means I'm right, right? Or does that make you a biased Bobcats fan who wants to have optimism?

Not sure where I was talking down to anyone, when you were the one who said I was ignorant. Oh well.

                                Haters gonna hate.
