I will say(just to add to yours, not disagree)that just because WE aren’t hearing other offers doesn’t necessarily mean others don’t exist or aren’t out there.

I think we’re so used to the public nature of player trades and seeing everything on Twitter, that we expect to hear every single deal/proposal. I always feel like most of the stuff we hear gets leaked out for leverage purposes. Even in this case, I don’t think this will end up being a straight deal between only these two teams. I feel like it’ll be closer to the BK/HOU/CLE deal when Harden requested out and only wanted to go to BK(at the time before we found out that wasn’t true).

I have no issue with the trade request, the trade to only 1 team when he literally signed an extension and has 4 years left on his deal. He is not a free agent lol. This trend is really bad for the league.

the narrative that POR should do the pennies on the dollar trade to Miami because if they want to attract FA that was spun by Haynes and his agent is frankly hilarious.

I will agree with you the stuff about his legacy is absurd. This does nothing to it. that's the dumb part.

Yeah there's legit no incentive for Portland to trade him to Miami for scraps. 3 years left on the contract, a supermax mind you, they've never been a serious free agent market so most of their teams have been built in the draft anyway

just take the best complete offer and wipe your hands of this mess, Portland. If Lillard wants to bitch and groan on a contending team because it's simply not Miami then let him tbh, just makes him look all the worse

Yeah POR should drag this out as long as possible. Like I'm supposed to believe he would sit out if he went to Boston, Philly, or another contender or I'm supposed to believe he would make things so uncomfortable or it's a disservice to him. please. If i'm a contender I'm taking that bet. He's 32 with 4 more years left on his contract.

Also on Miami's offer. not you but Herro is of no use to POR. I think the league overall pretty comfortably agrees he's a negative asset. which i'm in the same boat. so the people think that Miam's offer isn't that bad are probably high on Herro which i am not lol.

NBA fans/fans in general are so hilarious and annoying with this. I was just talking to a dude yesterday who was bitching about how terrible AK is because he thinks the Bulls need to trade Zach and other stuff to Portland for Dame and I'm telling him this isn't NBA 2K where you just make another team accept your lame *** trade proposals and this guy was legit arguing me down that they're not even trying to make a trade for him or making offers. Like bruh, you really think the only trade calls and proposal that get made in sports are the ones some sports writer on Twitter tells you about? It's absurd.

To be fair almost every transaction those two posted during free agency had all the other agents listed in the tweet as well. Obviously most say “agent with whatever group” rather than CEO, but that might simply be because he’s the only one that’s the CEO lol.
