Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
Punches per round related to stamina. That and in legacy and online it ends up being about 2 minutes, though the clock show the countdown from 3 minutes in a fight.Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
I tried Shaun's sliders and they are great. The CPU is not a defensive god (he doesn't block every time which is realistic), the punches have power on them and the CPU offense is drastically improved. The CPU adjusts its game plan according to the situation at hand. I'm having a great time with Shaun's sliders.Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
Yeah, the CPU has a pair on mine...I was flash KD'd by Eddie Chamber in fight now when I was using my 6'5" Ali clone with 95 chin and body/toughness. The left hook was flush and right on the temple, knocking my chin into my shoulder. I won later on by KO, but I made sure I didn't lean into his left the rest of the fight.Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
Yeah, I've bumped the punch output, but not to 10. I had guys throwing 100 punches a round that ordinarily wouldn't (counter punchers). I've moved it to five.
I also moved the damage slider back to one. I'm keeping stamina at 6 because any lower than that it's hard to throw a flurry of more than four or five punches when you know the CPU is near a weakened state.
I do love how the CPU fights back when stunned. Here's the final set, at least for a while:
Champion
2 minute rounds
Ref sliders - both 10
Power - 10
Speed - 2
Damage - 1
Toughness - 10
Accuracy - 0
Stamina - 6
Counter Window - 0
CPU OFF AI - 9
CPU DEF AI - 0
Punch Output - 5
Tell me what you think. These are good for Fight Now or Legacy. Enjoy! Here We Go Steelers!!! Here We Go!!!

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
Speed at zero lowers connect rates, but I don't enjoy zero much. On zero it's 35-40% instead of 40-45% for me.Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
The compromise with this game is that even though you can't lower percentages to where they should be, you CAN get connect percentages to be FAIR between the player and the CPU.Recovering slider addict...Fight Night Round 4 caused me to relapse...Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
I've also noticed there are less perfect blocks and counters from the CPU with the zero speed setting, though punch output is still good and you can really see who's fast and who isn't. The downside is because punches are much slower you'll have a harder time finishing off fighters. I may test one for speed to see how it does...There may be a good balance there.Comment

Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread
No, one speed isn't much better, though the CPU has fewer auto-jabs counters off the perfect block at one.
I did make one change to compensate for the CPU's auto-jab counters off the perfect block. I moved the CPU OFF AI to five. The CPU is more conscious of punches and strings together more combos for some reason, even going so far as to set up it's punches. At nine the CPU got predictable. I could block my gut, knowing the CPU would throw at my head automatically. All I had to do was lean and throw a straight to get a hard counter. At five, for some reason, I had more 'punches in bunches' and less constant punches at the open target, which they seemed to be compelled to throw anytime there was an opening due to the high off AI. At five they seemed to punch smarter, but five is the default, so that may be why. Can anyone else try that out, the five setting on CPU OFF AI?
I also toyed with, though not committed to, stamina at seven. The CPU was definitely more formidable, and I dare say more difficult to deal with. I am still staying at six right now, but I have no advantage to abuse with it at seven.Comment

First of all thanks for the wonderful slider set. I've played almost a whole career with your slider set Acts and so has my friend with the CPU OFF AI at 9 and CPU DEF AI at 0.
A couple of things that I feel have issues and maybe you can help me rectify.
1) My friend uses his special punch in excess and can time it perfect and land it almost 2 out of every 3 times. I can do the same myself. We uses the ducking lead hook or ducking lead uppercut. I'm wondering if DEF AI should be moved to 5. I also notice it is quite easy to stick and move to your opponents body with this setting at 0. Since you moved the OFF AI to 5 have you ever considered moving the DEF AI back to 5? I haven't experiment but I think it would also make your opponents DEF less predictable.
2) With Damage at 1 although it plays out realistic as far as I'm concerned with the actual bar damage/fight stoppages, etc. Visually I notice that guys get cut if every single fight. Since some have this at 10 have you ever thought about putting this slider back to it's natural position at 5? Maybe we/I would see less cuts.
Ok guys. I think the sliders are really close to being perfect. These were just some issues of concern but not game killers for me.Comment
