Of course those are all good ideas but what happens when you fight a guy who waits to uppercut you off the body shots or checks your kicks or denys your clinch attempts??

True but these are three different things to worry about. I would think that if you mix them up effectively they couldn’t counter all 3 every time.

They’ll uppercut you if you go to the body, cause a rock.

They’ll punch you if you go for leg kicks, cause a rock.

Maybe I don’t want to grapple.

Is crazy that we have to do all this BS becuse the head movement is cheesy and OP.They put a stamina tax even on Knockdowns but for some reasons head movement is out of question

It's getting WAAAAY out of hand. I definitely believe the non-spamming players are just straying away from the game, at least online and it's leaving even more cheese/spam players to fight against. Win or lose, the crap just isn't fun, I've finally started playing offline and I've also been going back to U3 and EA MMA tbh. It's just getting too ridiculous, if we don't get a stamina tax on the head movement, the online crowd is going to decrease really fast. They REALLY seem to be taking over the game online now.

It doesn't help when I time uppercuts on sway spammer all to only get a stun and they get one uppercut on me just from ducking a hook trying to counter their side to side sway attacks, and I'm out. It's just killing the sim aspect of the game like crazy. The few fights I still get where people aren't pressuring while swaying are so much fun whether I win or lose, but this extra speed and damage on swaying punches is so obnoxious.

Backwards movement maybe too slow as well. We shouldn't feel this trapped into playing phone booth fighting any given fight.

For now, I truly believe the best counter to the slip spam is to time back lunges when they come in. It gasses them pretty bad. I haven't fully experimented with this yet, but you should be able to tack on a straight or a lead hook to the back lunge if they're in range.

But yeah, if you don't wanna play the rock lotto game, just back lunge them. Evaded slip strikes eat up a crap ton if stamina.

You cant evade a counter/They slip after you strike so you cant do nothing no one slips before the opponent striked only noobs

Don't even both punching after slipping back as they will just be waiting with slip.

Def bezt def is backing up but then the whole fight is just us trying.to.get their stamina down enough to be able to hurt them and then still get koed by a conor with no stamina

Tried this. Isn’t consistent enough and doesn’t garner enough reward considering how spammy the other player is. It has to be timed really well and takes too much skill and doesn’t reward enough compared to the low skill of and high reward gained by the other player when their spam works, which is often.

We need a way to punish them, badly and consistently.

The devs are not able of fixing the head movement spam if they try to find other solutions than the stamina tax i really think it will change the whole game and ruin all counters.Its better if they do the easy fix i dont really think they can rework all the head movement and vulnerabilitys

This is now one of the biggest threads on the forum.There is a problem with head movement spam GPD and we will keep posting till you dont fix it
