So evidently even in the heavyweight division these guys can throw 420 strikes in 5 rounds and still be at like 85 percent stamina? This encourages this crap meta that I'm talking about.

Go look a boxing match or a mma fight scores by the end you will see more than 600 strikes thrown

Who was that? Because all I remember is me and some other guy saying he didn't have the best grasp of high level play. Which he doesn't. He doesn't know everything because he's the gameplay dev. Can't expect him to. He's not always 100% right. He obviously knows more than us about the game in general but there are areas where the playerbase are going to know more about how the game is played at certain levels. It's important we all accept this and work together for the better of the game imo

Who was that? Because all I remember is me and some other guy saying he didn't have the best grasp of high level play. Which he doesn't. He doesn't know everything because he's the gameplay dev. Can't expect him to. He's not always 100% right. He obviously knows more than us about the game in general but there are areas where the playerbase are going to know more about how the game is played at certain levels. I hardly bow down, but comments like yours are exactly what i was talking about.

the post you were talking about was mine way back, and I've overall been pretty appreciative of GPD. the problem is there were tons of idiots right after the patch pretending everything was fixed, and trying their damnedest to fit his balls into their mouth.

Thats what kills me. He has indicated that he's open to a stamina tax. The main message in this thread is that a stamina tax is the way to punish the spammy head movement.

So why are we still discussing this?

So what's the issue?

People want things like a stamina tax, vulerablity increase, delayless lunges, better distance management, etc.

Stamina tax is just one of the most obvious and egregious issues for most people-

• Armor which can be cycled through in rapid succession with stationary head movement
•Slips drains the opponents stamina
•Head movement recovers stamina
•Powerful counters off sways which cause rocks arguably the easiest- more stamina drain.

Yet head movement has little risk compared to its massive rewards.

People have been arguing from day 1, it should be:

footwork > block > head movement

But it's been:

head movement > block > footwork

Absolutely not.

It should be that way. It was just to point out all the ways head movement facilitates draining your opponents stamina without having much affect on your own.

(If anything if gives you a positive outcome as you can recover stamina so your sway counters become stronger than average, while draining your opponents)

With stamina being probably one of the most important aspects of the 'meta', head movement is so widely used in the game, as opposed to what you see in UFC fights- because it gives you so many advantages v disadvantages.

Simply put, the risk/reward is off for head movement.
