Well, I was planning on getting a game or two in today, but Dynasty Manager seems to be down for some reason. I'll get to it whenever it comes back.

I'm going to try and play a game and post afterwards. It's killing me waiting around for the DM website to come back up. I apologize in advance for anything wrong with my next recap. I have noticed the team logos in the standings aren't working. I'll try my best.

Extra base hits and long balls propel Rays to series clincher!!!!!

Tampa Bay, FL - The Rays got a trio of solo home runs, 2 by Carlos Pena and 1 by Evan Longoria to set the pace for the Rays 5-3 victory tonight at Tropicana Field. The Rays jumped off to a 2-0 lead before the Orioles came roaring back in the 3rd inning. Luke Scott, returning from a short time on the bench due to an injury, went 3 for 4 on the night and gave the "Birds" the lead in the 3rd with an RBI single to left. That would be all the Orioles could muster against Rays starter Scott Kazmir who earned his 3rd victory of the year. After an RBI double by Navarro in the 4th to even it back up again, the game was determined in the 5th when Pena delivered his 2nd home run of the night and Troy Percival earned his 12th save of the year by finishing things up in the 9th. The O's fall back into a tie with the Rays for last place and head home for a 3-game series with the Yankees.

                      No Relief For Mariners!!!!!

Yankees get win as they capitalize on poor bullpen work from Mariners.

Playing in front of 57,397 hometown fans, the Yankees edged the Mariners 3-2 in extra innings yesterday afternoon. It was a "quality start" for Phil Hughes, who allowed 2 runs in 6 innings, but it was also a no-decision for him, as he was long gone when the game was decided. Joba Chamberlain snared the victory (his 3rd of the season) in extra frames, firing 6 innings of relief and allowing no runs on 2 hits. Morgan Ensberg was a catalyst on offense, going 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's.

The Yankees hit the road for 7 straight games, starting this evening in Baltimore, where Mike Mussina (3-5, 4.76) and Daniel Cabrera (5-3, 3.81) will oppose each other on the mound.

Re"Mark"able, O's maul Yankees on Memorial Day!!!!!

Baltimore, MD - With a crowd of 37,000+ to see the Yankees and Orioles play America's pastime at Camden Yards, they were treated to fireworks from the hometown team both on and off the field on this holiday. The Yankees got a run in the first when Alex Rodriguez delivered an RBI single off of Orioles starter Daniel Cabrera. After that, Cabrera settled down and pitched 6.0 innings of phenomenal baseball to earn his 6th victory of the season. The O's took the lead for good in the bottom of the 1st, a 2-run homerun off the bat of Nick Markakis, who eventually went 3 for 4 on the night with 3 RBI's. The Yankees loaded the bases in the 5th inning trailing by a run, but Cabrera got Alex Rodriguez to line out to left field to end the rally. The O's then added 3 in the bottom of the 5th and a 2-run RBI double by Kevin Millar in the 8th to ice it. Jamie Walker, who relieved Cabrera in the 7th inning went the rest of the way to pick up an easy save, his 1st of the year. Baltimore and New York will continue this series tomorrow night.

Yankees lose to Orioles in AL East match-up.

Playing under the lights in front of 37,945 fans at Oriole Park, the Orioles dispatched the Yankees last night by the final of 7-1. Nick Markakis had a big game offensively, bashing a home run and driving in 3 runs. Daniel Cabrera allowed 3 hits and 1 run over 6 innings, and the bullpen was able to close the door to seal his 6th win of the season.

Game 2 of the series is tonight, as Radhames Liz (0-1, 2.57) will go for the Orioles against the Yankees' Darrell Rasner (2-3, 5.63).
