For those that are still following, I'll be getting a game in tomorrow and some over the weekend. I've been on a 3 day golf outing to 6 different courses the last few days. I'm dead tired tonight, so I'll get back to this tomorrow. Let's Go O's!!!!!

Yankees offense to much for Orioles pitching!!!!!

Baltimore, MD - The Yankees got their offense going tonight against Orioles starter Radhames Liz. Alex Rodriguez welcomed Liz to the game in the 1st inning with a solo home run. That was followed by a Jorge Posada RBI single to give the "Bombers" an early 2-0 lead. They would get it to 3-0 before the O's came storming back, capped by a 2-run home run by "Birds" 2nd baseman Brian Roberts to tie the game at 3-3 all. Jamie Walker then relieved Matt Albers, who went 4.1 IP to keep the Orioles in the ball game, but Walker wasn't very effective tonight as the Yankees jumped all over him in the 8th and got a bases loaded 2-RBI single by Melky Cabrera to give the Yankees insurance after Walker beaned Abreu the previous at-bat with the bases loaded to give the Yankess back the lead. The O's threatened in the 9th inning, getting the potential tying run to the plate, but Mariano Rivera earned his 18th save of the season by getting Kevin Millar to pop out to Rodriguez at 3rd base to end the ballgame. Both teams will battle one more time tomorrow night.

It's amazing how well Bynum is doing for you. The "human" factor seems to be helping him tremendously.

Yeah, I actually have him leading off now. He's only played 30 games for me, but the last few weeks, he's started every game. I like him in that role.

                    Mets Win To Square Series!!!!!

Mets, Marlins tied after two games as Mets win second game of series in New York.

The Mets squeaked out a 7-6 win over the Marlins last night in front of 41,919 fans at Shea Stadium, pinning a one-run loss on the visitors from Florida. Carlos Delgado provided the firepower, with a home run and 3 RBI's as part of a 2 for 3 day at the plate. John Maine wasn't bad, allowing 3 runs over 6 innings, but all he has to show for it is a no-decision. Working in relief of John Maine, Scott Schoeneweis came into a tie game and vultured his 3rd win of the season, pitching 1 inning and allowing no runs.

The Mets and Marlins finish off their series under the lights at Shea Stadium, as the home team gives the starting assignment to Pedro Martinez (4-2, 3.24) while the visitors turn to Josh Johnson (2-1, 4.88).

Baltimore, MD - Chien-Ming Wang pitched 7 strong innings to improve his record to 8-2 on the season. The game was tied at 1-1 until the 7th inning when Jose Molina delivered a 2-run home run off of O's starter Steve Trachsel. The Yankees then added 2 more in the inning on their way to winning the series. The O's threatened in the 8th, as they loaded the bases with 1 out, but Joba Chamberlain struck out both Luke Scott and Kevin Millar to end the inning. Griffey Jr. Belts Out 600th!!!!!

Ken Griffey Jr. celebrates win by drilling his 600th career home run.

The Reds beat the Pirates last night, pushing across enough runs to win a 5-2 decision in front of 31,992 fans at Great American Ball Park. Ken Griffey Jr. kick started the offense, bashing a home run and driving in 2 runs in 2 at-bats. Leading the way was Edinson Volquez, who pitched 8 strong innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 9 to pick up his 2nd win of the season.

The two teams conclude their series this evening, with the Reds sending Bronson Arroyo (3-3, 5.55) to the mound while Paul Maholm (4-2, 2.81) gets the call for the Pirates.

WHAT?!!!!!!!!! There's 4 months left in the season. Never count out the heart of Baltimore!!!!!!!!!! Who am I kidding? You're probably right, but I won't stop fighting every game. My goal is to at least finish .500 this season and hopefully get some good pitching in FA.
