Probably so. My defense is due for a bad game.

But we'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out. Going out with some friends and partying all night.

Dynasty continues tomorrow with another big top 25 matchup!

                  #15 Houston (3-0) at #19 South Carolina (1-1)
Could the Cougars keep their impressive winning streak alive? They had already put away three tough opponents, but could they maintain the same level of playing? South Carolina got the ball first. FS Nix must have asked MLB Jason Mullins (2 Def TD on the yr) for some pointers because on 3rd & 10 he picked the ball off and ran it over twenty yards for the score. Houston's defense had given them an early 7-0 lead. The Gamecocks charged to midfield when freshman CB Jason Harper made his first INT of the year! He returned it 14 yards to the 36. A 10 yard pass to David Gaines gave Houston a comfortable 14-0 lead. Late in teh first quarter, South Carolina made it just outside the redzone, but was able to get a field to make it 14-3. At the end of the first quarter, Cory Cooper pinched a nerve and was forced to miss the rest of the game. Houston took a 21-3 lead after Casey Barrow hit freshman WR for a 33-yard touchdown. Midway through the third quarter, South Carolina finally came to life hitting a long touchdown pass to bring the Gamecocks closer and make it a game at 21-10. Early in the 4th, another successful drive ended up in South Carolina further narrowing the gap 21-13. With five minutes left in the fourth, the Gamecocks added another score. The two point conversion failed and it was left at 21-19. Could the Houston offense pull it together without Cooper? Well, they at least were able to manage some points as they put up a field goal to further their lead 24-19 with just over a minute left in the game. Jason Harper intercepted his second pass--but wait!! Defensive pass interference! South Carolina's ball, a new first down. South Carolina got just past midfield and then Hutchinson intercepted his second pass of the game to virtually end it.

FINAL: Houston escapes South Carolina with 24-19 victory.
                  Greatness Score: 303

                  Straight From the Coach
"Do you know what this team just accomplished? 4 straight wins against 4 consecutive, tough SEC opponents. This is the year. This is the year that the Houston Cougars start to be recognized as a viable force."

Houston: 4-0 - Narrow win over South Carolina continues streak...
                  Next game: at ECU (0-3)
