Or they could be like the Texans against Arizona and have first and goal at the one and not be able to punch it in, or against the Jaguars and call a HB pass on first and goal, and fail that way.

Re: Official CBA Thread
Just want this ordeal to be over...
I'm had it with all of the conflicting reports. I know that comes standard with negotiations but damn. What has pissed me off a bit the last few months is how the reporters would put something out there creating optimism, then subsequently kill that optimism and point the finger at fans for being inpatient and naive. The reporters are doing the best they can, but take some responsibility for what you tell fans knowing damn well we are on the edge of our seat.
Let them tell it, and they'll say that they always pointed to July 15 (today) as the big day. Nah, you told us the big day was in March before the previous deal expired. Then the big day was in May, then June, and now July.
I understand it's a fluid process -- just tiring I guess.Comment

Actually kinda find it easy going. It hasn't been too bad or overkilled. And the best part is that once its done, everythings gonna be ridiculously quick. I mean ****, were only seven or eight weeks away front Week 1! How exciting.Comment

I agree it is found to be nice to see everything move along quickly cause usually off season and free agency signings just trickle in. Now it will all be quick. Can't wait.Texas A&M Aggies

Will it be as bad as the "experts" think? No I don't think so, but I could see some teams looking really bad early on. Probably sloppy looking football till week 6.

Re: Official CBA Thread
Interesting if true. Basically D. Smith got some "lock-out insurance" that would've given each player about 200,000 if there was no football in the upcoming season. The article make it seem like once the owners found this out it helped to spur talks. Might explain all his rhetoric the past few months.

I don't care if its sloppy or not for the first couple of weeks. Sloppy football is better than no football."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."
