I get a chance to play Chambers Bay again next Sunday. Gonna have to get my swing working a little better!

Let me know how the course is. I've been thinking of driving down to Seattle this summer to play that course. Wonder if they've begun any sort of preparations for the US Open next year?

Not yet, unless they are going to change a green. I know from members at Congressional, that they really don't start prepping for the US Open until the spring before the tourney. Basically letting the 2nd and 3rd cuts grow out all spring, rolling fairways and greens so that they are fast and firm. If you want a real challenge play Chambers Bay about a month before the Open gets there (if they let you) and you will get a good test of Open conditions.

Just bought a dozen (12) 4A/AAAA Near Mint Titlist Pro V1's for $12.01 - free shipping on eBay.

Been using cheap nike balls so far to limit my budget, and it is showing, hoping these will get me back around 80 like I was.

I usually like to start the year using Mojos or Nike Crush

And since im working at a golf course right now, I typically end the season with ProV1/1x and Penta TP5. For some reason I really really enjoy the TP5. like a lot

I've used two name brand balls consistently...

Nike Blacks a few years ago

Titlist pro v1 - mainly when I find good deals

Rest of time... It's whatever I have haha.

I do tend to switch my good balls for a crappier ball around water lol

I play the z-star and e6. I got a coupon for 300 points at Golf Galaxy for buying 1 dozen NXT or NXT S balls so I will knock them around then go back to the z-star/e6 the rest of the season. I keep one v1x to putt with.

I enjoy the Masters. But I hate the overall arrogance of the Tourney directors and Augusta Members. You can only broadcast from 3-7 pm. They are the only major that wants to limit how much of it you can actually watch, and it is very frustrating.

It is a pocket ball washer, which since the courses I play usually only have ball washers at the tees of select holes, it sucks having to use a bottle of water and my towel to keep dirt off.

This fits in your pocket and has water stored inside that doesn't leak and makes it quick and convenient to clean.

I agree... generally. But my dad knows a member... I've met him a couple times and he's probably THE nicest guy I know. He gave us a couple of clubhouse passes a few years back, and invites my dad down to play in some other tournament the week before.

He even invited him to play Augusta
I'm super jealous.... I like to think I'd break 100 down there

So I was looking at the Specs on the Speedblade 6 iron after I hit it into my back yard. Its flight and carry was eerily similar to my AP1 5 iron. Well low and behold the loft on it is 26.5* and the loft on my 5-iron is 26*. So it seems like some of TMs distance claims come from stamping a 5 iron with a 6. Seems shady to me.

Yeah, definition of false advertisement. Any manufacturer could do that if they really wanted to. Doesn't help the player at all.
