Finally! I have been looking for actual golf pants in size 40x34 for about 2 years now. I could just buy slacks but then in the summer I would be sweltering. I prefer pants to shorts, especially when I am taking clients out. But wearing a 40x32 made it look like I was wearing hand me downs which I personally think looks unprofessional. So low and behold local boys Under Armour have pants in my size. Got them today and they are pretty good Not as stretchy as Nike's pants but I like the loose feel to them. Got them in white and black. Hoping they will restock this slate color below. But I was very impressed with them and the fit.

Haven't taken my DNA's out, but they feel really good, when I am breaking them in walking around the house. But the Augusta versions of the Lunar Control (center shoe) are really tempting for me to grab just because I love the Lunar Controls.

Struggling so much right now. One day I'll be pushing everything. Another day I'll be hitting it really solid and consistent. The next day I'm shanking every other shot. Then the next day pulling everything. So frustrated.

            Welcome to golf LOL

Seriously though, me and you are in the same boat. I hit my best round (83) the first time out, and shot my worst (90) the other day.

Haha yeah I know. It's just extra frustrating because it's not even like I have the same recurring problem. Instead, it's a different problem just about every time.

Went out and played 9. Thought it went well, but on 15, 16, 17 for some reason I started fighting myself and probably cost me a couple of strokes with just awful wedges into greens and one 8 iron I hit really fat. I would like to blame fatigue as it was the first round I walked this year. Made a slight change to my stance. A little further away from the ball to promote more inside out swing, also "lofted up" on my R1. Went from 10* to 11*.

                  Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Played my first round of the year. 9 holes in the cold, wind and rain of CT. It was the first swings I took all year, shot a 61 for 9. Lots of penalty shots. I did have a penalty on 4 and got a par when I chipped out. I had 2 other pars and then a bunch of terrible holes. One hole I just hit tree after tree because I was too stubborn to just pitch it out on the fairway, then I finally did and hit a 7 iron right on the green.

Oh well, lessons learned. I had some really great shots and I think once I settle into myself and don't play in the conditions I did today I will have a chance to break 90 this year.

I heard that loft on these newer drivers is all about carry distance and not so much about total distance. I think the newer ones reduce the amount of backspin, so you might have to do that. I always used to hit 8.5 degrees but am at 10 with the R1 and have virtually the same ball flight

Worked from my phone today, and played with a couple of nice older gents. Playing at Musket Ridge in MD later this year and I am starting to think I will be able to put up something respectable.

Not really. I think water really only came into play on one hole on the back 9. It is a shor course overall with very challenging elevation changes. 17th hole is a part 3 with a 30 foot drop from tee to green. Wind was really a factor yesterday too. But it was a fun challenge and I still think I should've shot better than I did. Played 3 times this week and every course I played was aerating their greens so it was a pain to putt on all of them.

Still aerating? Damn. For the record, I like aerated greens, slows the ball and makes it easy to land by pin and so much easier to putt, unless the course goes overboard with aeration.

Now that they are finished, I am zooming past holes! LOL
