    Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Went to driving range last night and not only did I not have back problems, but I was hitting my driver as straight as an arrow! I have never hit a straight driver, always had a fade.

Wish I knew how I did for my round on Saturday!

Thanks for the offers, guys. I'm in a busy stretch w/ real life/work right now, but if/when I get a shot I'll see if I can get some video down. I do agree that without video, it's basically impossible to do any serious swing work.

          The OS Golfer's Thread!

Well after buying the Ping G25 irons a couple weeks back I just felt it wasn't what I really wanted. Even with 20% off coupon my heart was set on the new Ping G Irons. Today I made the leap!!! 4-UW

Nice, let us know how they feel. After falling in love with the G driver, I think my next irons are going to be PINGs. I just don't know when that'll be. I'm still using 712 AP2s but haven't felt the need to update just yet, especially at the price point for new irons.

Might be a few weeks before I even get to hit them. After leaving Golf Galaxy I was rear-ended and it was bad. Was sitting at a light waiting for it to change and out of nowhere a young lady slams into me. She said her baby was crying in the back seat and she pressed the gas instead of the brake. The force was incredible.

I'm supposed to be in Ohio by Monday morning but currently I'm sitting in the ER. Got a bad feeling that I won't be swinging for a few weeks. damn Damn DAMN!!!!!

Dude, that SUUUUUuuuuuucks. I'm so sorry for you. Hopefully there's no lasting damage and it'll just be a matter of a slight delay in your golfing plans.

Take care of yourself and contact your insurance company. Back and neck pain can linger for a very long time.

                    Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

I started converting my bag to Pings last year.
Got the G30 irons and a hybrid.
Really liked them so I picked up a couple Glide wedges a few weeks later.

Was so impressed with Ping that over the winter I picked up a G driver, woods, and another hybrid.

                    I'm officially a Ping ho.

*I'll never give up my Odyssey putter though.

Oh well, off to break 80!

Rain out today. Only time I had available the next few days.
I do have a charity 4 ball event Friday so have that to look forward too. "Possibly" playing Tuesday...

                        12:30 tee time tomorrow.
Today after finishing up the gutters (Which followed an evening/night of flushing and replacing water heater elements aaah!) I went to range for a relaxing session.
Struck the ball great and accurate the majority of the time.

Really focused on (my main fault) getting good weight shift. I tend to get lazy and which causes me to have to rush hands and get flippy. When I do it right it's night and day of the purity of strike.

Hoping to post a good round. Maybe wishful thinking but I feel I'm soooo close getting everything pulled together.

                        We'll see.

Well I played Saturday morning. Shot 103. 58 going out and 45 coming in. I struggled big time on the front 9 as I couldn't hit anything. Driver was slicing, irons were either coming up fat or thin, and putts had no distance control. After the turn I settled down and played decent. I triple bogeyed the 15th after hitting into water hazard and missing a short 3 foot putt for double. Best hole was 18th where I shot par to end the day. Hit a beautiful drive, approach shot was about 15 ft from hole and just missed birdie, but tapped in for par.

Playing twice on Memorial Day weekend as long as weather holds up.

Got cleared by my surgeon and physiotherapist to golf as part of my physiotherapy. Went out for my first round of the year, and shot a dead even 100. Front 47, back 53. Not too bad considering.

My putting, which is usually a strong part of my game, failed me hard. Other than that, I can say the only down part of the day was using Wilson Staff Duos. I read so many good things about them, but I really disliked them; they seemed to fall out of the sky. Switched to Q Stars and everything felt better.

Well good and bad.. But I did shoot the best round ever for me with an 83.(42/41)
We got paired up with a single which was cool as I like meeting new people on course.

I had a few areas of idiocy (stupid decisions and gambles) that cost me but overall I went away feeling positive.

I also got hit by the gent that was paired with us... lol
I was almost at a 90 degree angle from him and he went shank city and ball hit my foot. Luckily it had hit ground first which slowed it down a bit. Didn't hurt and we got a laugh out of it especially after it hit me and he said "Four"...
