You'll be shocked at how fast you're going to lose those iron covers.
Halfway through your first round one will be gone.

I don't know if they stretch out a bit and just fly off, but they disappear quick.

In all my years of golfing I've lost maybe 2 head covers so I like my chances of holding on to these. Not gonna lie to you, I plan on ordering another set to have replacement covers just in case. Wish me luck!!

Planning on ordering some M2 irons early next week. I've been working as a demo tech rep for TaylorMade this summer, so I've been able to get fitted for them, and set up nicely. Looking forward to putting them in the bag real soon.

Same here. Mine are black and gray and same design.
I would suggest taking them off after you play. Some say (Have no idea if true or not) that they will trap moisture ,so if you store them with the covers on it will lead to early rusting etc..

I have no idea if true or not.

If the ones posted are like mine as far as design, they have a velcro strip that makes it a tight fit. Heck they actually are pretty tight without the extra velcro insurance.

Take care of your clubs and they will take care of you.
Lol.. Mine get a bath after every round...

Ok round done and it was soooo great to back out.
It was a tale of 2 9's.. lol

I had my usual couple blow up holes but made did my wedge/pitching game show up. Had a good amount of 50yds and in that were 1-3 foot from the hole. Really saved me a few times. Still fighting with a 10-15 yard fade on drives. I may just deal with it going forward as that just seems to be my stiock shot.

Anyways I shot a 41 front and 46 back. Including 2 7's , one of which was the last hole (par 5).. Really disappointed I finished that way.

Overall I was very happy with strike but still reeling in distance control.

Only managed 1 birdie but I'll take it

                Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

So I completed my main goal for 2016 yesterday. I broke 70 for the first time and shot a -4 68!

I seriously felt like a pro during yesterdays round. My driver was seriously long and straight, my ball striking with my irons was on point and I could control the flight of the ball and shape on command, my wedges and short game were deadly. My round yesterday could've been 66 or 65 if I couple putts would've dropped.

Hole 5 I hit a solid 52 degree wedge to about 15 feet. It was a slightly downhill left to right putt. I put a nice stroke on it and it was tracking toward the hole. The ball died right on the lip and only needed a half revolution more to drop for a birdie but I settled with par.

Hole 12 was playing the hardest yesterday for two reasons. It's a downhill par 3 and the pin was tucked all the way in the back portion of the green. The green has two tiers with two false fronts in front of each tier. The pin was all the way in the back just a yard or two past the false front and there was only 5-8 yards of green behind the pin. It was 171 yards to the pin so adjusting for the downhill I pulled out my 8 iron. It hit the perfect 8 iron and landed the ball exactly 171 yards pin high off to the right. I had about a 20 foot right to left birdie putt. I put a perfect roll on the ball and the ball went right into the middle of the cup.

Hole 13 was a hole in which I should've had an eagle. The hole was playing 505 yards. I hit my drive down the left center about 300 yards. I laser'd the pin and I had 205 yards in. I pulled my 5 iron out and hit the most flush 5 iron I've ever hit in my life. The ball just took off with a high but piercing trajectory. The ball landed about 10 feet right and short of the pin and rolled to about 10 feet pin high. I unfortunately pulled the eagle putt to the right but tapped in for birdie. Picture below is the 5 iron I hit (you can see the pitch mark in the bottom edge of the picture right below the ball)

I'm surprised that I achieve my goal of shooting in the 60's this soon. But when I think about it I'm not at all surprised. I put a lot of work into my game this winter and it's nice to see the results!

Great going, Alex. I can't imagine shooting an under-par round...that must just be an awesome feeling. Congrats and keep it going - maybe we can get you out on tour and then we can say we kinda/sorta know a guy on tour....

Congratulations Alex...I guess I am chasing the Bronze trophy of breaking 90.

I finally played after my back issues. I played a little Par 3 course that I grew up playing. Was able to play the full round without any issues with my back. Slotted to play Saturday morning at 8:19am at one of my favorite courses. I have no score goal in mind, just play 18 holes without any back issues.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I'm with you, country...I've broken 90 once or twice, but it's a rarity, and I have to do it routinely for me to be able to legitimately say I "play in the 80's"....although my standard follow-up to that line is usually the old (bad) joke, "...any hotter than that, and I just stay home."

I'm so far from even considering breaking 80 I don't even think about it. I've hit a wall with my improvement and for me to get better would basically require me to quit my job and hire Butch Harmon full-time. I have zero natural golfing talent, so it's questionable whether it's even worth pursuing at this point....

Get someone to tape your swing in slow mo from side and back and I bet I could shave some serious strokes off your game.

                            What do you struggle with?

I might be able to steer you towards some slight improvements.
Enough to break 90 consistently anyway.

Help is needed here. I cannot hit my irons right now. I either yank it way left of my target, or I hit the ball with an open face. I am completely lost.

Any chance of getting some down the line video of your swing? It's much easier to recommend swing fixes via video than it is by saying I'm doing this and I'm doing that.
