    Carefully?

I applaud the commitment. Great putting under the circumstances.

Playing at probably my favorite course in the area tomorrow. They have these. Really tempted to try them out, but they're a bit pricy to rent...

After setbacks due to health and life, able to get out play 18 today. We won't discuss the score I shot (it was ugly), but I did miss a hole in one on the 17th by about 6 inches. I birdied the 17th and the 18th to go out on good terms after a horrible 16 previous holes.

All in all, felt good to play even with the first tee shot of the day resulting in a lost ball and penalty stroke.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Doesn't matter what you shot, you won because you got out there and played. And (hopefully) enjoyed yourself. Going out w/ 2 straight birdies will definitely make the 19th hole beers go down easier.

            Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Finally got out for a couple rounds Friday and Sunday. Weather was beautiful and the course was in good condition. Shot 78 and 76 (par 71) which are very good for the first rounds of the year. My first round I had a stretch of birdie-birdie-triple-birdie-birdie. That was the most ridiculous 5 holes I have played in a ling time. 2 of those were tap ins with one being almost a hole in one. The other 2 were par 5's that are reachable in 2 where I hit 2 amazing 3 woods. Fir the triple I was in the water off the tee, then chunked a 8 iron short, chipped long and 3 putted from 25 feet. Dang near needed a new putter after that.

The second round was more consistent with 2 birdies and a double, but I 3 putted three times. Clearly my putter needs some love.

All in all, it was great to get out with my wife and brother on Friday and then my twins daughters on Sunday. Can't wait for the next round.

The 19th hole beers went down smooth

We're setting up a tee time to play the same course this Sunday morning.

I shot the lowest score of my life(74) at the easiest course I've ever played. I played really well, but every par 4 was under 250 yards, and two par 5s that were around 350 yards. There were no hazards, and only a few trees to get in the way.

It was like playing golf on easy mode.

I'm having trouble getting the low-point of my swing far enough forward/ ahead of the ball. The good news is I finally identified this as the cause for all of my thinned shots. The bad news is that it's not an easy thing to fix....

                    The struggle continues.

Shot a 1 under 34 on the back nine this past Saturday. This was my first under par 9 holes since I use to work in the golf business. Was three under on the last 6 holes. Could of been 4 under if not for a 3 putt par on the par 5 15th.. Front nine... No comment..

                        Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

So I just got back from Bandon Dunes (with my new Rogue ST Max driver w/ Graphite Design UB in the bag). That was the greatest golf experience of my life. Something incredible that every single golfer needs to play one day.

We played Bandon Preserve the first morning, I did have three birdies, only one held up in our skins game. Bandon Dunes the first afternoon was quite wonderful. Was the perfect introduction to the complex. Shot a 91, was a tough adjustment to the tight lies and absolutely artistic greens. The next day fired an 89 at Pac Dunes. I’m gonna say that was at worst the 3rd best golf course I’ve ever played. Was flawless. Sheep Ranch was day three. What a golf course that was. Just fun. So many different ways you could play that track. Is was just a blast. Fired an 87. Followed it up on Sunday with an 87 at Old Mac. That felt like I fired a 77, it was an absolute grind. What a wonderful experience, and flawless complex. We will have to go back one day to play Trails. But the four we played could not have been a better experience.

4 years ago I had 14 TaylorMade clubs in the bag cause they were signing my paychecks. First thing I did when I left them was put my original Cameron back in play. Now that I'm entirely a "free agent", I've found a few different things I enjoy. Though I do feel like I'm committing sacrilege by not playing a TMade driver for the first time since working in the golf industry. It's very weird for me.

I can't judge. I have Volkey wedges and an Odessey putter but other than that I'm TM.

Unless we talk about balls. I switch back and forth between TM and Bridgestone.
