Also, as I posted earlier I'll be adding the Jordan 1 golf shoes into my shoe rotation this season.

    * I don't carry all the clubs in my bag. Only allowed 14 not 17!

I was just getting ready to call you out on a violation for too many clubs lol. Nice sticks.

Just went out for my first 18 ever on Friday. Spent more time looking for balls in the woods than actually playing. Lol. I've got a long way to go, but I love the game.

I don't have any consistency. I'll hit a random good shot here and there, but 90% of my shots are slices.

Slicing is my issue too. If I hit a slice, it's because my face is open or I'm coming from the outside too much.
I am the lesson after the fall.

My WITB for the 2017 hasn't changed at all the last few years. I've compiled a bag of clubs that I have full confidence in and have yet to find anything that feels or performs as good as what I have.

Also have a couple swing videos from my range session today. We've had alot of ran recently so most courses are just absolutely drenched. I'm all ready to go just waiting on things to dry up.

              The OS Golfer's Thread!

Got out today and shot a 96. Just didn't have any consistency. The rust was evident from the start. Had 6 pars but just to many blowup holes. Had times when I was less than 150 yards on my approach shot and ended up with a triple. Other times I was less than 100 yards shooting my 3rd shot into the green on a par 5 and ended up with a triple.

All in all I was pretty happy considering I haven't put any practice in this year yet. Pretty confident by this time next month I will be back into mid 80's once I knock this rust off.

                Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

If I don't soon get consistency with irons I'm going to go nuts.
1 round I am striking pure.. then a few days later I (this past Wednesday) I was blading everything.
Now I did work 12 hrs.. go home at 7:30 am and was teeing off at 9am.. so taking that into consideration but ..

That's the main thing holding me back. I know I have too many thoughts in head and really need to get to a point of having a care free swing....
                Hopefully sooner rather than later..

Went out for 9 today with my new TaylorMade RSi 1 Hybrid/Irons –Graphite and holy crap I think I am in love. I was absolutely on point anywhere within 140 yards. I still need work with the Hybrids but I had a few great shots with them. I am working on changes in my swing and when I put it all together I got some really great shots.

I am pretty excited about this season and just focusing on improving my game.

Got out for a quick 9 (first of the season) this past weekend. Hit or miss, really. It was bizarro-world out there, because I couldn't drive the ball for crap but my irons were pretty well on-point. Have no idea if that will continue, but I'd frankly be okay with it if it did. Putting was solid as well. Weird all around....

My season starts on Friday. Also, I was at the driving range today and my new M1 driver and 3 wood are ridiculous. I can't get over the distance and forgiveness in these clubs. I was happy with my swing considering I haven't swung a club since November.
I am the lesson after the fall.

                                Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

I got my second round of the year in, but my first 18 hole round. Back in February I only got to play 9, but Saturday I got in 18. Course was a bit rough. We got a lot of rain last week, I was actually surprised they opened, but it was drier than I thought, but 12-14 we're awfully wet. Normally I'm a cart player, but due to the wetness we had to walk.

After my early February round... I traded in my old R15 driver, and my Aeroburner driver for the M2. I was tired of carrying around 2 drivers. I was tired of fighting with adjustable clubs/weights etc and I usually hit the Aeroburner better than The R15 anyways. So, the M2 was my choice.

A bit of a long story here but I have to laugh at it now after the fact...

Front 9, I was extremely impressed with my round. I was driving the ball well. My irons were solid, even my chipping game was good and usually it's the worst part of my game. I carded a 43 on the front which included a 6 on one of the par 3's where I put my tee shot into the water. My only awful shot of the front 9. That par 3 is my nemesis on that course. In all the years I've played there, I've played that hole well maybe 4 times! lol It's all water along the right side, elevated green which is fairly large, but I'm almost always in that damn pond. It's been in my head for years, and it just kills me. I think the best score I've ever posted on that hole was a bogey. lol

For me, at that particular course I was more than happy with that score. Course is relatively flat, but I'd say probably 13 of the greens are built-up/elevated, so you've got to be pretty accurate with your approach shots or you're going to have some tough chips ahead.

Before hitting the back we stopped for a quick hotdog, and a beer. First 3 holes on the back, my drives... AWFUL.

#10 tee shot, topped the ball, hit it about 50 yards. Thought, ok, that was awful, I'll bail myself out with my 3 hybrid which always bails me out. Did the exact same thing! Took an 8 on the par 5.

#11.. topped another drive. Bailed myself out on my second shot, then sailed the green on my approach. Ugh!

#12... Par 3. Just missed the elevated green pin high to the right with a 5 Iron. Duffed a chip, two putted. Ugh!

#13... I barely caught the ball with my driver again. Bailed myself out with my hybrid again though. Approach shot... missed the green right again.

#14... long Par 3, playing into the wind. Took out my 3 wood, which I've maybe hit twice outside of the driving range. Had the right distance, but was WAY to the right. Managed to get on with a good second shot, but of course 2 putted again! lol

I'll spare the rest of the back 9 details, but I did get somewhat back on track after that once I got my swing back off the tee.

So there's my first bi-polar round of the year, a 43-49; I'm happy with 92 for the first round but wow, what happened on the back after my play on the front, I was just beside myself. I couldn't get out of my own head after 10 and 11 and it just kept snowballing on me. I have no idea what happened, but that little 10 minute break between the front and back just killed me. I think a lot of too was having to walk the 18, which I don't normally do and for it being my first round of the year it was more of a struggle than it should have been. I know I was really dragging myself through the last 2 or 3 holes, but the problems started far before then.
