That would be something considering Bryson was all but confirmed to be in last year when EA used him as a spokesperson among DJ come to think about it.

    Shame

I have to think this is causing at least a touch of consternation on both of the new games...at least just in terms of how to handle it all and who is in/out, etc

Seems very fluid -- and all at a time when I'm sure both dev teams are head down and working away on each respective PGA game.

        Agree,

2023 can’t get here soon enough for me, tired of speculating this game and ready to see some action.

Between this game and College Fb 24 coming next year, I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for a year of games. 2 out of my 3 favorite series returning on new hardware(that I’ve get to buy).

I just really hope this game has an in depth player creation with tons of clothing options from real brands. I hope they have a "game face" feature. Tiger Woods 07 had it so don't see why it cant't be done in 2022.

It really is amazing how many feature regressions there were in sports games over the last decade.

            Game face was super cool

Rory 15 was the worst when it came to faces. All. 11 options were scary looking.

Hoping I can use Rory in career mode like they hinted at and get him multiple slams.

Side note… this is going to look so good on shelves next spring. (Forgive my poor photoshop).

It’s increasingly looking like just a PGA license is not going to cover a lot of players/content moving forward
The PGA license was a bad move from the start. Now with this LIV development things are even more muddled. Just make a game that looks good has good ball physics and a proper putting and ball striking mechanic. Could care less about playing with an avatar that might slightly resemble some player on a tour somewhere.

I don't know if I agree with that honestly.

There's a market out there for a fully fleshed out, licensed up, very complete "play on the PGA Tour" type of experience.

All that said, who knows what will come of this all eventually.
Hopefully it doesn’t get so dispersed that EA cancels the game (before or after release)

Put this another way. While this thread is about EA I guess I was speaking more about HB and their decision to put PGA in their title. This should be interesting if LIV gets traction, What will they do remove a player if he gets suspended from the PGA? This is a real mess.

I wouldn’t think any of this would move EA to cancel the game, at worst a few players are cut from the roster I believe.

As long as Rory, Jordan and a few other big names are present like Brooks and Scottie, the game will be absolutely fine roster wise in my book. Also the lpga players.

I’m more interested in the career mode content and courses which I don’t believe LIV affects.

                      Correct me if I’m mistaken.

The PGA and 2K brand made them sell over 2M copies...

Who knows, maybe the next HB/2K game will be called something like Tiger and friends, with all the mercenaries in their game. If they're all playable, lots of casuals would buy that.

With all these big name golfers head to LIV, makes me wonder how bare bones the roster will be now when it comes to pros.

I wonder also -- but honestly care way more about the course content if I'm being honest.

I think the only ones currently at LIV that would’ve been in are DeChambeau and DJ. I don’t think Charl Schwartzel and Oosty were going to be in.

I think the game will be just fine. Might lose out on DJ, Bryson, Rickie and a few others but it will probably have several stars like Rory and Spieth carried over along with Brooks who I believe EA used last year.

The game will still have that course from down in Georgia among many other nice gems. Really can’t wait to see pebble and Kiawah on next gen.

Shoot, PGA2K sold well without the ability to play with pros at all. [emoji23][emoji106]
