To be even more fair, I read somewhere that what it is been targeted, are demos that wont be the stripped versions we have been used to ... on this new gen, demos would/could be complete retail games (available to be played instantly, by cloud) that would lock within a certain timeframe ... here is to hope for more details/confirmation about it.

Then you won't be able to use your voice commands and hand gestures to switch inputs, switch between apps, change channels, and order pizza. Plus you won't be able to activate little side snap so you can watch TV and Skype at the same time. If you don't plan on doing any of this, you might as well get a PS4.Comment

Re: Xbox One
That's true, but early on in the 360's life it seemed that Microsoft was more accommodating to indie devs and was publishing a lot of games. The past 2 years or so you've seen a lot of indie devs coming out against Microsoft for the way XBLA works or the fees needed to maintain the games (like Phil Fish trying to patch Fez). Most of the indie devs seem to be sticking to Steam and Playstation now.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Xbox One
Can't say I've ever had that problem. I've played plenty of good demos that show how the game plays. The sports demos usually give you full game control for a short portion of time, which shows you how the game plays. Most other games I've played give you full control of the game over a level or two. I've purchased plenty of games because the demo showed me the gameplay was good.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Yeah, that game still does absolutely nothing for me, was just a weird preview.
As to indies, at the beginning of this past generation did they even have any options other than trying to go full retail to get into console gaming before the 360? Think what we're seeing now is more a product of Microsoft sticking to their guns and continuing their existing processes for whatever reason (stubbornness, shovelware prevention, whatever) and other options efforting to be more convenient and accessible, namely the PS4.Comment

Btw, there was a great article about indie dev opinions on Microsoft in the latest Game Informer if you guys haven't read it.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

I think it's cute that people still use "M$". Feel like it's 1995 all over again.
I need to see E3, but leaning towards PS4 at this current point, but not till 2014. Neither look like they are launch buys this year, too many great titles still hitting 360/PS3. Like Flawless a few pages back, I could easily see myself almost going WiiU this year, just for something different. Hell, if Nintendo could pull a few strings and get some of the bigger titles, I could just go that route.
In the end, I just want to play videogames. I don't care what else the thing does. Which is why PS4 is more appealing than XBox One right now.
The 360 far exceeded my expectations and being a gamer who started out on joust/atari, the 360 has been the holy grail; since I am a console gamer.
I will bide my time for the xbone, I will probably buy it eventually but am in no rush ... unless ME4 is announced as a launch titleOriginally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Xbox One
It's what I have to do with my old, original Xbox since the power button stopped working a few years ago. It's always on as long as it's plugged in now, so I turn it "on" by plugging it in and turn it off while I am not using it by yanking the plug out of the wall.Comment
