That is why I'm thinking I shouldn't waste my time. Plus I talked to Direct TV and they are giving me a free installation deal in that room so I'm leaning that direction... only if I re-up the contract extension to two more years which I have no problem doing.

I know this is a HDTV thread and I haven't read through all of it but could someone suggest a HD monitor?
I'm looking for something that I can run a PS3 in 1080P on, preferably 23-24", budget is about 500-600.
So far the only one I've come across is this one

I have the 32" Vizio and it's very very good. It has all the inputs (2 HDMI, 2 Component, S-Video, Composite, etc) that you see on more expensive brands. PQ is very good...HD movies and Xbox 360 look great.
Even with all that said, if you're waiting til November to purchase you may as well hold off until Black Friday. You may find a sweet deal in the same price range. The Vizio's every day price isn't going to change.Comment

I just picked the 32 incher up last Sunday, and I'm loving it so far. I hooked the 360 up to it, and wow. It just sucks that i've got an SDTV for my gaming needs. I never should've tried the 360 out on the Vizio because standard looks like crap now, lol.Comment

They are both fine displays. Usually rear projections will get you more size for the cost, but you do have bulbs every couple years (most service plans will cover only ONE replacement). Also, note that every TV has issues that are magnified.
I don't think you'll go wrong either way. The A3000 has the SXRD/LCos third generation engine, while the XBR LCD's are among the highest rated over at CNET and other A/V sites.I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

just replaced my old 65" mitsubishi with a a brand new 65" DLP 1080p mitsubishi. So far, this thing looks amazing, but I see some blur in video games that I never saw before in my older one.
