Shrek 4ever. For the past 6 years or so, all I've seen at the movies were kid's flicks. The only one I managed not to fall asleep on was Wall-E. The parts of Shrek I did see though had some funny moments.

From Paris With Love: Good lord. Just terrible. So much cliche dialogue (talking about the terrorists they're fighting: "but what if they never stop?"), so much crappy acting (Seriously, who was the not John Travolta guy? He was just brutal. And so was Travolta. And so was everyone else.)

I never want to see this movie again. Ever.

Remember Me. Simply a great movie. Yeah I know it's a romantic drama, but watch it, it's not cheesing at all in the least bit.

          ^^^
I already know the twist ending to that movie and it sounds ridiculous. Pattinson being involved was strikes one and two, but that ending is strike three.

Pattinson wasn't half bad (I've never seen the Twilight series) and I don't see a problem with the ending, unfortunately stuff like that happened. The main blond girl in that movie was awesome as well.

              Very stupid manipulative ending, IMO.

I didn't look into it that far, and I thought the movie was great even before the ending.

I saw The A-Team a couple days ago and it was just as ridiculous as I thought it would be, which was great.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

A Toronto area film reviewer who does reviews every Friday on CTV Newsnet gave the movie 3.5 stars and said that it basically keeps in line with the source material.

I'll be seeing it this week as well.

                      100% agreed.

What dude wouldn't be entertained by a movie where Rampage Jackson says, "You can't fly a tank, fool!?"

                        I Love You, Man

It's surprising it took me this long to see it after everyone clamored about its greatness and hilarity. I'll say that I liked it just fine, Paul Rudd is just a fantastic guy to watch on screen for some reason and Jason Segel just lays back and delivers with a solid performance. This is also my first time being introduced to Rashida Jones, and hot damn she is gorgeous! She needs more work!

A bit of an issue that I had with this movie, as a lot of the Judd Apatow comedies seem to have these days (I'm in no way stating he was a part of this movie), is the sidetracking awkward conversations. It's okay to have a few of them, but sometimes they come off as improvisational outtakes that they decided to leave in the movie, which they very well may be. Sometimes these are the funniest moments, and sometimes you just want to move on. I understand that Rudd's character was supposed to be pretty uncomfortable around a setting with only guys, but after they established that in the first twenty minutes, this dialogue style seemed to run on and on throughout the movie. But this isn't really a movie negative, it's more of just a style choice that they went with.

If there was a technical fault I had with this movie, it was that there wasn't very much side character resolution, if any. The main characters are obviously most important and they need resolving, but the side characters were a pretty integral part in every other scene and they failed to establish any sort of closure by the time the credits rolled. They were kind of just there to help out the main characters even though they had their own personalities and stories, dilemmas, etc.

Though it was a funny movie and also pretty good (and didn't need drugs and nudity thank god), I'm still trying to find out what all of my friends were raving over.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

I was just searching OnDemand and decided to land on a free rental of this. It actually was a lot livelier than I expected it to be, as I'm normally not phased by any other animation movies than what Pixar brings us. Our main character wasn't necessarily relatable, but he was empathetic for about the first half hour, which was also about the point I was losing interest in the movie. The beginning is awesome; the rest isn't exactly a letdown, but it wasn't my cup of tea. In short, the beginning will feel more like a Pixar movie and the rest will feel like "every other animated movie."

The effects were pretty good though and I stuck through the 90+ minutes when I really was looking to otherwise nap after Sony's E3 conference. But I'll just say that after watching this, I am eagerly awaiting Toy Story 3.

I Love You, Man is ridiculously quotable and I think that's got a lot to do with why people like it so much. I love it and could probably rattle off 15 different quotes right now. Hell, just today at work I started laughing out of the blue because for no reason I thought of the "look at him, cropdusting all over your open house" quote from the movie.
