Yeah mine is back off to my left side, when I'm sitting in front of the monitor I don't see anything unless I scoot back a few feet

Just FYI, my desktop isn’t a desk tower. It’s udneeneath the desk and illuminated underneath my desk beautifully. I see nothing unless I’m scooted back or looking at it.
Haha, inside of my case is a blacked out look. Even my new 1070 ti goes well with the look because its the SC Black version.

Other people motherboards look weird to me. My motherboard has 8 ram slots. It has it's positives and negatives. When ever I do a new build I most likely won't get a board this damn big.

So it's been a couple days now and I can honestly say it was EVGA Precision OC which was causing the weird hitches.

I've since been tinkering with AB and have the 1070 Ti stable at 2000Mhz clock and 4104Mhz memory. Highest temp has been 73 and during games it settles around 70.

Glad you got it figured out before a full wipe and Windows reinstall that'd have been no fun

Hay guys how often are your guys PC “freezing”. I’m talking total lock up with only a hard reset getting it back.

It doesn’t happen a lot but maybe every other day or so. Only while gaming. Temps on CPU and GPU never go over 65c or so.

Is this “normal” or am I looking at a problem? All drivers are up to date. New PC built 3 months ago.

                  EVGA 1080ti
                  16 g Corsair vengeance 3000 ram.

Any ideas? I’m not sure how normal this is, or if I’m looking at a problem.... thanks mates!

That is 100% to much. To give you a bearing to go by using my situation.

My last build was an I5-4690k w/ Z97 Fata1ty board and a Sapphire 290x GPU. I experienced very little hard locks or freezes. Once in a blue moon I'd get a freeze but it was months apart.

In January I built a Ryzen 1700 w/ MSI Pro Carbon X370, and a EVGA 1070 Ti. The first couple days of the build featured many locks, freezes, and blue screens. Yet this problem stemmed from poor motherboard capability with RAM timings & Ryzen. I fought with hard freezes for a good month or more AND regretted going Ryzen until finally MSI fixed the issue via a BIOS Driver update. Since that point, 3 to 4 months now, I've experienced no freezing what so ever.

First, pull your ram & video card out. Make sure those ram sticks are in correct slots (1 & 3 or 2 & 4, look at Mobo manual) and make sure they are well seated. Now make sure your 1080Ti is well seated & look for any sagging from the weight.

Next, look at your motherboard drivers and make sure everything is the up-to-date newest version. Motherboard drivers can be a big hassle.

Next, look at your ram, run something like Memtest86, and make sure that Vengeance 3000 sticks are all up to par. I have exact same ram & had to RMA a batch due to one stick being bad.

Next, double check the power supply isn't having issues. Make sure it's large enough, 750w+ should have no issues powering that 1080Ti, but a 650w one might be pushing it's limits. I'd also open up Hardware Monitor and make sure your rails (12v, 5v, 3.3v) are not fluctuating. I'd monitor these during a game and look for dips in the voltage.

Lastly, if all this checks out, in the words of TheBleedingRed "Fresh Install!", if it's hardware related it should pop up again pretty quickly.

Hey guys I’m looking to upgrade my current graphics card which is a Radeon Sapphire R9 270x. For the new card I’m willing to spend 300-400 dollars. Any recommendations?

I think this EVGA 1060 which is $299 would be pretty good. I just got a new laptop that has a 1050 in it and it's pretty good for gaming, I imagine a 1060 would be really good in that price range for value

Yup. The GTX 1060 6 GB is a great match for the price.

                            Thanks man.

Yeah checked the seating everything good. 750 watt gold plus power so should be good there.

MoBo bios was up to date but I was old on some system drivers from ASRock support site. Thanks for that!

Ran Memtest86 and passed, so RAM should be good.

I reset the the BIOS to default and updated what I could. So far so good.

                            Thanks again.

Rumors of a new 1100 line being either released or announced in August. Might want to hold out a bit longer.
