Blame that on graphic card prices now. They are insane. An RTX 2080 is $800, a RTX 2080ti is $1,200.

I use this one for my Predator and a 25' Asus.

        Thanks for the suggestion, SoMiss!

Pretty sure I've looked at this one. I need a slightly different one because my second monitor is 32". It's actually a Samsung TV, so I am getting an adapter that'll allow a VESA mount. I have no idea if the differences between these (and the others within $10-$20) and those that are $100 + are actually worth the extra cost.

They all end up having the same range of stars, regarding reviews. Anyway, these are the three in my cart that I'm debating on:

        https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B077X...QC4XP3K1&psc=1

        https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07BF...AKKKJ18A&psc=1

        https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07FY...FPVI320B&psc=1

Leaning towards the last one. I guess the mechanical spring is better than the gas spring, and probably the reason for the price difference.

I personally only used Loktek but had to get two singles as 1 of my monitors is a ultrawide and needed a heavy duty one. Both of the arms are awesome but its pretty expensive.

Oh yeah I forgot about the whole crypto thing that caused the price gouging.

To be honest, I know Nvidia is better but I'd rather stick with AMD.

For my own experiences, I've seen less driver issues with them over time.

Even the new AMD card coming out next week going to be $700. So their prices creeping up too.

I noticed a couple of days ago that my EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW HYBRID GAMING video card that I bought for my build in August of 2017 for $589 at Microcenter is now going for $929.00. WOW! Why is this, anyone know?

Is this like a rare card or something?

Pretty sure it's a production thing. And as the stock gets lower and lower, they're harder to find and hence more expensive.

It's REALLY hard (almost impossible) to find a 1080ti at a reasonable price. Makes me super happy I grabbed mine when I did, for $599 total, no tax, free shipping.

I'm thinking about upgrading to the 2080ti

                      My current setup

                      1080ti

                      I7 8700k

                      32gb of ram

                      500gb ssd.

                      4tb HDD.

                      1440p with 165Hz g-sync monitor.

I've done tons of research, but really can't decide.

Has anyone here upgraded from 1080ti to 2080ti?

                      Would you recommend it?

If you game at 4K HDR, then yeah do it. If not, then a 2080 would do.

No reason exactly to do that, especially at the current prices. I would love to upgrade my 1070 but not at these prices and it runs everything pretty well at 1440p. You gotta consider the price to performance and determine if it's worth it.

I wouldn’t upgrade, 1080ti is awesome on a 1440p monitor. What are you gonna gain? Maybe another 20fps?

Yeah, I wouldn't get a 2080 unless I was running some crazy setup. I'm planning on upgrading everything else though, running an i5-4690k system now.

Going to go AM4 and setup a chain of machines to inherit my upgrades so wife and kids will always be able to use my old parts.

Right, I'm more likely to snag at 1080Ti than one of the new cards at this point.
