Not a jab, just a question.

I haven't put too much time into the game like many others have, but I am really enjoying the game so far. I'm almost done with Act 2 as of last night.

I really like the story, presentation/atmosphere, gameplay (even though this is a collection of other games into 1), and graphics. I am going on a limb saying that this so far is in my Top 10 games played. Once I beat the game and if my opinion changes, then you guys can jump all over my @ss.

    I haven't been disappointed.

      Fair enough, just a question.

I haven't touched much of single player yet, but multiplayer is fantastic, as I can see MS keeping this one updated with new missions, online levels, and other stuff. Plus, I'm certain we'll have downloadable content on Sunday...

EG... which game would you prefer at the moment... COD3 or GoW? Just an honest opinion, which I know you'll give.

From what I've played so far, I'm immersed. If it wasn't for that damn Guitar Hero 2 releasing on the same day, I would have most likely be close to beating GOW. First night I spent a few hours with GH2, then last night I spent 3 hours with it and only 1 hour to GOW. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I heard that downloadable content is coming 11/12 for Emergence Day.

COD3 honestly. Gears is truly amazing, and is a great, great game. But I can see myself not touching it in a month once the newness wears off. Now MS can change that by constantly having updates and stuff online, but with the one game type, it's going to get old. Chainsawing fools at the moment is one of the more satisfying things I've done in a game in a long time, as is the head stomp. I blogged my opinion of the game, it is MS' killer app IMO.

BUT... COD3 is simply amazing online. I could play that all night, plus it's more fun to snipe you in COD3

Offline for COD3 is unmatchable IMO, it's just insane when you jump that wall and thousands of nazis (ok, not thousands, but it damn sure feels like it) are firing away at you.

Cosign. GOW is incredible, no doubt, but a 24 man room of absolute chaos is pretty fun online.

Once again I must state, killing a locust with a Torque Bow shot to the head could be the greatest thing in the history of gaming.

Bottom line? You'd be cheating yourselves if you didnt have BOTH OF THESE GAMES IN YOUR COLLECTION. I've decided to stop trading in games. I'm going to buy'em, play'em a lil bit, and if something new comes out, buy it, play it, and when I get tired of that new game, go back to the old one. I remember back in the day, I used to have a shoebox full of sega genesis, nintendo, super nintendo games. My days of buying and playing for a few days and trading it in when something else comes back are over.

Depends on if its worth it. I didnt want oblivion so i took it back. Some games could be part of a collection like GRAW, but it depends if you like the single player aspect. Once the online part is reduced to only a few people, then that has to hold your interest.

Of course if you don't like the game it's no use in keeping it around. However, games that I know are really great games, I lose interest in real quickly, (that adult ADD that i haven't had diagnosed) and end of trading or selling. I realized how much money I waste doing that and figured, i'll just keep them around as i'm sure i'll want to play them later.

I'm doing that more now too. Unless I just KNOW I don't want the game anymore (Madden). BUt also I'm passing on some games knowing that I don't have the time only to pick them up down the line some day for much cheaper.

I never understood why so many people on these boards are so quick to sell their games, trade in their games..etc.

For a major reason....You only get like 5 or 10 bucks from EB Games for anything that isn't BRAND NEW. So is it REALLY worth it to you $$$ wise to get rid of a solid game for a measley 5 bucks?
