We totally were totally talking about two different things! The answer might still be the same though. I wouldn't store anything in a house unless I was sure nobody else has access to it.

I killed a giant, they hit for a lot, but they don't have huge amounts of HP and they do stagger. I thought I was screwed when my follower darted off to fight it, but I ran in anyway, it swung once and missed then overhand power swing, stagger, overhead power swing, stagger, overhead power swing, stagger, regular swipe, force shout, stagger, overhead power swing, death (I'm a 2h, heavy armor Orc, BTW).

Just a tip: When decorating your house, spending over an hour manipulating decorations into the perfect spot, it might be good to unequip your shout so you don't accidentally hit it and ruin all your work. I almost wanted to cry.

I just brought my first house and I read the decorating guide that says you can buy different packages to decorate your house from the Steward of the hold......Where are the stewards at?

I still can't get over the sense of scale in this game. After a week I still stop and look around when I reach the top of a mountain. I still think of all the peaks that I haven't climbed yet. Every cave and dungeon has a unique feel that you want to leave no stone unturned. I am 30+ hours in and I still see new things and new random encounters. All this and I haven't even went to see the Greybeards yet.

This game owns me right now.

Stewards are usually next to the Jard in the main hall. If you are in Whiterun, its the highest building called Dragons Reach.

The stewards are usually found in the throne room of the hold you bought the house in. It's probably the same guy you bought the house from in the first place.

I just passed the 30 hours mark myself and finally went to see the Greybeards last night before I went to sleep.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

                Couple more questions.

What are the embalming tools used for? I have been carrying a couple with me for a while not but havent found a use for them.

Also I have a some soul gem fragments. Are they used for anything?

                  Garbage!

The vast majority of the stuff you see around is junk, for atmosphere or just loot more that anything. It's not like a traditional RPG where pretty much everything you pickup has a purpose.

I'm so far off the main storyline that I often forget there is even a main storyline to begin with. :o

I'm playing as wood elf and just fought a very easy dragon battle. There were 2 giants and 3 mammoths attacking the poor dragon. I know, everyone has pretty much had this happen to them, the giants and mammoths started to attack me after the dragon died but.... Of course, being a wood elf, I can command animals. The giants got brutalized by the very own animal they protect.

                            I know, right?!

I'm going to make a second character whose sole purpose is to murder every child in the game.

                                He was referring to "fragments"

I've found those too and have hung onto them for a while, but couldn't find a use for them.
