I just leave her in the house and what does she do? Not only does she NOT sleep in her room (the Housecarl/Guest room) but all she does it sit there by table in MY bedroom and eat bread ALL DAY. What the hell, you could at least clean my blades or the house until I call you for some adventuring.

Good thing she's good looking. At this rate, she might be the one my Dovahkin marries.

Haha, so glad I'm not the only one who had a problem with her. Once she was smoked by Vokun I had no problem at all.

I REALLY miss BF3. This game has forced me to quit every other game I own. I just can't help it.

So on the character I have going right now I am a Khajiit thief and murderer who kills anyone unfortunate enough to be caught with me out of sight of anyone else. So far three residents of Riverwood have fallen to my dagger. No to get my conjuration high enough to bring them back to life to parade through town after I kill them.

I thought Lydia was invincible, usually she just kneels when her health goes all the way down, but I was in a ruin and a draugr scourge smacked her once and she just dropped.

My Lydia is no more as well. Sad day indeed. I have my pet dog Meeka though. He doesn't get in my way.

The only way followers die is if you deal the killing damage blow somehow.

I had plans for my character to be a 1 handed axe / 1 hand magic user with heavy armor. Made it through 28 levels like that. Then I had to hit a daedric quest.

My follower disappeared and I never did anything..
At least I don't think I did. She was in a totally other room fighting and died. Well I "think" she died as I never seen her again after that fight. I looked for her body but I couldn't find it.

The first time I heard this I thought to myself, "are you serious bitch? I'm about to give you some badass armor and thats how you respond."

I then proceeded to pick up a number of random heavy objects and give them to her so she really had something to complain about.

Also, am I the only one that plans to go back to Riverwood and kill that jerkoff owner of the general store. Besides planning on getting that paw back from him, that guys had a target on him since day 1 when I asked him why he was in Skyrim and his response included the snide remark along the lines of, "what I like most of all about Skyrim is the number of inane questions I get asked on a daily basis"...

Nobody talks like that to me and gets away with it!

So is there any way to do the following in-game?

                                1) Find out the backstory of why you're doing a particular quest? I have a ton of quests open and since its real easy to get sidetracked, sometimes i kind of forget why i'm supposed to go to a particular place or talk to someone.

                                2) Read up on as much of the main storyline as you've unlocked to your particular point in the game, or at the very least a general story of what is going on?
