I've been playing a 2H warrior it's fun, but idk I may start over as a rogue or Mage. It just seems like I could be doing more fun things then running in with no regard slashing things in half with a big sword

I always look at the discription of the item.
There are a few that show up in valuables that are animal research items. I don't sell those.

So hopefully I'm doing it right lol

I really hate how with some npcs and companions you have those distant conversations (camera wise) instead of the fave to face ones like in every Bioware game since ever.

Really good game. Some bugs that need to be worked out, but it's got BG2 like scope with actually fun and strategic combat.

I've been playing on hard, and it's a nice mix of going hard in and setting up the other party members.

Not using tactical can though, just LBing trough the party and setting.

If they are yellow then send them to the research table. Everything else is sellable.

I'm loving the Mage Class Specializations.

My gods I cant stop playing this since I got it. Of course this is after I spent 3 hours and rerolled my character 4 times because I hated the way she looked. In cutscenes

                Dragon Age III: Inquisition

I can't decide to buy this game or Far Cry 4. I've never really played an RPG or gotten into one but this game seems to bring a huge amount of game time options that I could add to my digital library and play it for years. I have EA Access on XB1 so it is also discounted 10%.

Anyone else playing this game as their first RPG game?

I liked Far Cry 3 but it feels like I just played it... Might get this DAI because it is different than anything else I have played.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

                    This game man...

It honestly took me a while to get my bearings of what was going on, even as a DA veteran. There is just SO much to do and the world is so big. After I really settled in and put in some time, i'm blown away by the depth. I'm having fun as a 2H warrior. I thought I would get bored of him, but it's fun as hell knocking everyone on their ***.

They will basically attack who you attack. Compared to the Dragon Ages of the past, yeah it is VERY shallow. I remember back then you could choose them attack a certain type of enemy, attack the strongest or attack the weakest. Now all you have is follow and defend.

Over all I like defend for mages and archers. It will keep them at a distance.

I really miss the Tactics options of the previous games. Combat would be great if it had those same Tactics options, along with KOTOR action-queues and a tactical cam that wasn't so damn zoomed-in. Hey guys, we brought back tactical cam, but removed tactical slots, what?

Just bought the digital version today. Are there any things I just shouldn't do in the beginning, things that you all did that you changed? I like the sound of a mage I think. Just looking for basic tips.

                            Thanks

I can't think of anything major to change when I restarted but I was only initially in my 1st game for a few hours. The 2H warrior was fun, but I felt like it lacked any situational awareness given my desire to just run in and swing violently. Enjoying the Dual Wield Rogue so far once I restarted.

I just took down my first dragon. Half the time I was marveling at the beauty of the fight. That battle didn't disappoint one bit, such a great boss fight. After it was over, I was almost sad that I killed it.

I might do it again tonight just so I can record it on shadowplay and watch it again.

Just make sure you are very happy with your created face. The mage is a great class its a bit of a late bloomer. Once you get specializations you become very powerful.
