Re: No Man's Sky
I've watched some live streams. I see people using a ray gun of some sort to acquire a variety of elements like iron, plutonium and carbon. What do you do with these elements and what are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to get a better space ship? If you get a better ship what do you do with it?
Are there factions or races in the game which are hostile to each other? Do you risk alienating one faction by befriending a different faction?≡Comment

Re: No Man's Sky
Are you given any planet size estimates so you can compare with the planet Earth?
I wonder if someone out there will actually attempt to stream an entire walk all around a planet or moon. Maybe the 'Sitting and Smiling' guy is up to doing this.Comment

Re: No Man's Sky
I love that this game just lets you play at your own pace. There is a beacon on my current planet that Im heading towards, flying with boost should take me 10 mins to get there, but I can't help but stop along the way to explore, so far I've played about 5 hours going towards my target that's 10 minutes away.
Bought 2 ships so far, my current has 23 slots, cost me a little over 1 million whatever you call currency, units? Credits?
BTW, my game has crashed about 5-6 timesPlaystation Network:That70s_Gamer

Re: No Man's Sky
Officially found the worst system in the universe:
One planet, lame. Land on that planet, immediately doesn't look good. Storms, aggressive sentinels, little flora, but lots of fauna. Ugh, but at least I should be able to scan all the fauna, right? Land on planet, some crab creatures nearby. Take out my scanner and before it can even scan they swarm me, so aggressive. Try to move around, on my ship, on the building, they were relentless. I go in the building for some respite. Try to slowly go out since they weren't aggro, but they swarmed again, decided to try to defend myself. The second I touched my trigger, sentinels come swarming.
Nope out to my ship scanned and went to find some other point of interest. Find a building, land. Get halfway towards the save point and a sentinel flies by and scans me, immediately attacks and 3 friends show up. Ugh.
Oh, by the way, entire time it's so hot it's melting my thermal protection. Luckily I had more warp cells so I figured I'd just warp along and screw that place, just not worth it. Take off, the second I'm in space I'm getting scanned by pirates. That whole system was just the worst.Comment

A better ship = can travel faster, further, carry more cargo, destroy other ships more easily, etc.
I have only met one race so far, but to my knowledge, you are correct. There are multiple factions within the game and befriending one can anger another. On the flipside, befriending one can result in them defending you if the other faction attacks.NFL: Bills

Re: No Man's Sky
Where the heck are these people experiencing the "major game-breaking bug" finding a ship without Hyperdrive?! Every one I've run across except for my starter ship had it, whether sitting in the space station, a planet landing pad, or wrecked on a planet surface.Last edited by bcruise; 08-11-2016, 04:56 PM.Comment

Re: No Man's Sky
Yea I found one too, but you have to fix it. I didn't want to have to take the time to find everything to fix it, and I didn't get the Atlas to start so I wanted to keep my ship marked so I could make my way back for the atlas.
So, I've been looking all over for the final species on my starter planet. A few times I've run into flocks of these small bat type creatures, when I scan them they have dots that show up like they are something to identify but it never identifies them so I move along figuring they are not what I'm looking for. I've tried shooting them down but they don't seem to take damage either. Is it possible these are what I'm looking for, if so how can I get them scanned?Comment
