Highly doubtful since it's new on Xbox

      Re: No Man's Sky

If you haven't played this since launch and haven't experienced the other prior large updates that include base building and exo vehicles, then this really will blow your mind haha.

      - Really like 3rd person.
      - Found a ring planet, very nice.
      - Love the idea of clouds, but they look pretty blurry?
      - Draw distance is improved, but not in the way I wanted. Stuff on the surface of a planet is still magically appearing as I fly by.
      - Experiencing a lot audio and visual stuttering especially when flying down to a planet or back into space.
      - Only played an hour, but the 2 planets I explored seemed vastly different than anything I had seen before.
      - Lot more graphical details.
      - Love multiplayer, but someone led me to believe it would be fully online. Meaning you could potentially run into anyone at anytime. This isn't the case.
      - Haven't fully explored the new space station layout, but when I walked in it was quite overwhelming. So much more going on now!
      - In the NEXT trailer there were mechs walking around. Are these new exo vehicles?
      - How do you explore oceans? Are there ships that can go underwater? you can build bases underwater now?
      - After I dismantle 'obsolete' tech, is there really nothing to do with it besides sell? If so, I'm about to get rich lol.

I've put a lot of time into this game and have toyed with the idea of starting a new game in the easy mode because I just don't have the time to grind through and save for things I really want like freighters. With this update, like others have said, might be the perfect time to start over.

Anyways, looking forward to being sucked back into this game again.

Had this game since launch, played it quite a bit but now I am really liking what they've done!

Saw this thing called Whispering Egg

Took out the trusty multi tool to see what it was going to give me. After it opens a little glowing ball rolls out, but I was never able to get it because to my surprise this happened...

These Green creatures pop up out of the ground and attack. Result was death 3 times! lol! Love it! The old NMS never had anything like this! Cannot wait to discover all the new things in this game!

Maybe this is common so I apologize if it is, but one time I found a planet that had these weird pods that looked like they were from Alien and inside was an orb like that and it was worth a ton of units.

Only problem was, as soon as I'd take one, the sentinels went NUTS. So, I worked out a system where I'd land close to a cave entrance, find 6 or so of those pods and remember where they were, take them as fast as possible and run back to the ship. Usually could safely get 6. I'd repeat this until my tiny inventory was full and then fly to a space station to sell. Tedious but lucrative. It would be sooo much lucrative now with a nearby base, larger inventory, and exo vehicle.

This was before bases or teleporters. OMG I wish I remembered the name of the planet so I could go back now haha.

                      Depends how you start.

Decent planet. Explore and have fun for a while. Check out the scale of the game, go in front of a mountain and wait for the sunset...that was a fun and getting all shaded, I just freaked out because I thought a huge monster was about to destroy me, haha.

Bad planet like the one I just started with (174 degrees!)...get to the point you find your ship, get your signal booster to find the Hermetic Seal, Portable Refiner and get to work to get out of there! It took me 45 minutes (some goofing off) and i am about to get off this volcanic hellhole.

What a fun start though! Flying pigs...yes, flying pigs and Pterodactyls lookalike are the two species I have seen. There are only 3 more so will go and find them before I head out. Started a on a ring planet so that's another reason why I am so quick to get off of this to go check it out!

The scale, again, is just massive and fun. Started this solo player one to go along the multiplayer when my pals. If anyone wants to do a multiplayer for OS I am always down!

If your first planet isn't too hostile in terms of radiation/heat/cold/etc. take your time and explore it thoroughly to get a feel for everything.

Do you suggest I load my last save to keep that Explorer Ship I had.....and just upgrade to new tech? Also my suit etc? I will just head to a planet and start figuring stuff out again. I have not played this since 3 months after launch after getting burned out on the same tasks over and over.

The new update looks fantastic. Like a new game.

Once I get my legs under me I would love to team up and play some online co-op exploration and adventuring.

Or start fresh with the tutorial etc and I will quickly upgrade my ship and buy a new one eventually.

Honestly, everything is more expensive in-game now. Of course by farming up a bit you can get back to where you were, but if you were far I would recommend using your last save!

Everything you have will be obsolete, so you will be basically starting a brand new game and just have to update all of your technology which I thought was super cool since this is basically No Mans Sky 2.

Personally, I started fresh because this is a brand new game. The elements are different, the beginning is different, it has all changed...for the best.

And yeah! Whoever wants to play online you can have up to 16 people I believe.
