Yeah man, that's what I'd always do, I'd say, well I already did xxx so might as well do yyyy now. It's a pass. Don't give yourself that pass. Know that each day is a decision and making another wrong one doesn't do you any favors at all.

You could eat more fresh vegetables and fruit without a stove or a microwave. That's what I do anyways, less hassle and it's fine eating. Or sometimes I just open a can of tuna and eat it. Or mushrooms, I eat mushrooms right outta the can.

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

I didn't get too far off this weekend, but I did fail with a Whopper with cheese on Saturday. I ran 3 miles on Friday evening and then 4 miles today (Sunday).

I'm feeling pretty tired right now. Tomorrow will be interesting as I'm not very motivated to workout. Maybe a good night's rest will change that.

I worked hard this morning but I still suck at push ups...man do I suck at them. I start shaking and trembling like I'm a man possessed.

I did my first whey protein shake this morning.

            1 scoop of Whey

            1 bananna

            8oz of skim milk

1 tablespoon of all natural peanut butter

1 tablespoon of all natural yogurt

I got the Body Fortress brand from Wal-Mart (Chocolate).

Not bad at all and I could easily do this in place of breakfast with maybe a granola bar for a snack before lunch.

247.2 this morning for me. I'm very pleased... I've gotten off of the 251.2 plateau. I've started to see some shirts of mine that I have to kind of swim in, and are very baggy, where they weren't as baggy before.

Also, since I think I might have bettered my swing on Saturday, I'm going to go to the driving range again after work to see if I still got it, and if so, I'll probably start doing a weekend workout of a round of golf.

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

It's good to see folks checking back in here again after the weekend.

I had oatmeal and some nuts for breakfast, a couple of pieces of snack cheese and a glass of orange juice (light). So I'm sitting at about 370 calories today so far.

The fast yesterday went ok, I did break down near the end of the day and had the following: about 3 big fresh mushrooms, a couple of small cans of no sodium button mushrooms with red onions cooked with virgin olive oil, red pepper, vinegar, lightly shook some parmesan on it and 3 tbsp of pizza sauce. It was actually incredibly good and filled me up to the point where I was ready to burst. All for about 250 calories. I think i finished the 'fast' with about 400-500 calories for the day. I think my intention on these fast days is to go completely without eating but if I stay under 500 calories and eat only fruit, vegetables, etc I feel pretty good about it.

Shorts weather has started but all my shorts were too big because I lost all my weight during the fall and winter! So I had to buy a couple pair this weekend, size 32, I was happy LOL

I think it is best to eat food when you CAN eat food. If you have a chance to eat food, don't replace it with a shake.

re: Granola or any other types of bars. Most of them are nothing but glorified candy bars. Yes some of them are a good source of fiber but check the ingredients. Many of them are filled with a large amount of sugar. Anything that is in cluster form is usually bound together by sugar.

                      Just something to think about

Don't take this as a personal attack. Just offering some of my knowledge that I picked up during school.

There is a little something called the set point theory. It basically says that your body adjusts to whatever you are eating to maintain homeostasis/weight.

So if you take in very few calories over time and you are losing weight, the body will adjust its metabolic rate to try and prevent further weight loss. And if you are taking in too many calories, the body adjusts its metabolic rate to prevent weight gain. This is the reason why people stay around the same weight over time.

So if you are taking in very few calories to lose weight, over an extended period of time you are going to have to take in fewer and fewer and fewer calories to continue to lose weight. On top of that, if you decide that you've reached your goal and want to start eating somewhat normally again as opposed to depriving yourself of food, you are going to gain weight right back.

Why? Because your body adjusted to take in fewer calories. So anything above that, and you re-gain weight. That's why most people re-gain weight, even gaining more than what their original weight was.

                        Just my .02

I hardly ever do. I'm glad you brought this up. Let's talk about **** (pun definitely intended). Maybe once every other day for me, sometimes every third day. That's when I'm dieting. When I'm eating crap and fast food everyday I'm a once a day guy. I've never been the 3x/day that is recommended.

I've been thinking about doing a colon cleanse as well.

How much fiber are you getting in your diet?

                                Oatmeal
                                Whole Grain Rice and Pastas
I suggest adding some Wheat Germ and/or Milled FLaxseed into your diet. Can add it to anything for the most part
                                Large water consumption can help

Should be going at least 1 time per day. Preferrably 2-3 times per day.
