Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE
You keeping snacks around? This WILL work, you just need to gather a head of steam (takes a few weeks). I'll eat the biggest crow sandwich on the thickest, richest bread you can find if this doesn't drop the pounds off you. You exercising as well?Currently playing:

Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE
Yes I'm working out with traditional weight lifting and running
It's not hunger...I don't know how to describe it lol. I have snacks: banana chips/fruit/almonds
I need to fast forward 10 days!
It's the combined pain of not having diet soda and my body being sore from working out. I believe it will work...the process is just not feeling great right now.
I'm happy to have my girlfriend doing it with me!
...It's me being a little girl. I was around 210 lbs with bf% about 10. Fast forward a year and I've let myself go to 230 and about 16%. I can't erase the year in a week!!!
Having a girlfriend has been terrible for my healthy lifestyle!Last edited by NDAlum; 01-26-2012, 11:47 AM.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE
Dude....I wouldn't give up the caffeine.....gotta have SOME pleasure! That's just me though. The most frustrating part about diet/exercise plans, is that it takes 3-4 weeks to REALLY start seeing some results. The best part is, though, by the time you start seeing the results, you've created a habit, and you have no problem continuing the process. You've made a lifestyle change. If you stick to it, you'll reap the rewards.Currently playing:

I was around 175-180 pre-gf, it's been over 2 years, I'm at 205.
Part of that is the past year, and the office job, as well. However, more fun to blame the gf.Comment

I can't wait for the 30 days to be over!
I could point it at myself for eating too many sweets...but I'll stick to blaming the gf!SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE
I love finally having a job. No more sitting around in front of the computer all day and snacking. In just the first two weeks of eating a lot healthier lunches with no snacking, I've lost almost 5 pounds. Now I just have to start working out when I have time.Comment

I use syntha 6 protein. It recommends no explode for pre workout. Anyone had any experience with no explode.?

Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE
For those that don't know...my wife is a trainer and CrossFit gym owner (they call them "boxes"). Anyway, she left me a workout to do during my lunch break at her place earlier in the week. When she asked me how it was.....I misguidedly said "No more soccer mom workouts. Don't be afraid to come with the thunder.". That is going to cost me. Cr@P, she's giving me a "Chipper" tomorrow:
No rest---or rest as needed---30 minute time limit:
-15 clean and jerks
-30 toe ups
-30 box jumps
-10 muscle ups (ring dips if I pus$ out and can’t finish all 10)
-30 push presses
-30 double unders
-15 overhead squats
-30 pull ups
-30 burpees
-lunge walk the perimeter of the parking lot holding a 45-lb weight over my head
I think I’ll keep my mouth shut from now on…

Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE
Was able to gain back the 10 pounds I lost near the end of last year/beginning of this year. Back up to 6'2 (or 6'3 according to skyline chili ha) 180.
Really enjoying working out in the mornings this quarter. I have class from 10am-1pm MWF so I work out at around 7am or 8am. It feels amazing, still glad I enjoy working out this much.
When I started about 10 months ago I never would have imagined I'd enjoy it this much. I never thought I'd see this kind of progress either, because I was always rail thin. But I've put on 25 pounds since starting, and love the way I look. Some of my friends think I'm crazy, but being cut and bigger than I used to be is just a great personal achievement. I do it for myself, and I do what works for me.
I don't have a specific goal to reach, but I'm certainly not going to settle for where I'm at right now. Hard work and self motivation, that's why I'm where I am now, and that's why I'll get to where I want to be as soon as I can.

Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE
I've heard from a few sources that the NO products are good. I'm thinking about buying some at the beginning of the month. It's supposed to be a little healthier than the jack3ed and c4..Comment

Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE
I'm still not a big guy by any standards, but I'm getting there. When I started I was flesh and bones basically (155 lbs). Just barely anything, rail thin. Now I look much better. I don't know the exact word, but it just looks right. I feel the Jason Terry pictures are right on with how I look. Now obviously he's always wearing his jersey in his pictures, but by the eye test we look the same build. I'm not the best at describing things, so maybe if I can find comparison pictures I'll throw them up here.
The one thing I definitely need to improve is my chest, my brother pointed that out to me when he was home recently. It's not like it's crazy un-proportionally smaller, but it needs a little improvement.
I'm still just 19 years old, so I've obviously got a lot of time ahead of me, but I am determined to continue progressing. One because I love the way I feel when I am working out consistently, and two because I feel a sense of self accomplishment when I look at myself in the mirror or step on the scale and have added more (good) weight.Comment

Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE
Yeah I've been skinny pretty much all my life, I've gained 20 lbs in the past few months but I'm still looking to add more lean mass.
I'm getting more muscle definition and it's feeling great, but I'm not really as ripped as I'd like to be, but it keeps me striving to keep working and going hard.
Hope you achieve the goal you're looking to hit.Minnesota Vikings
