Have you tried any of the natural stuff lately? Back in the day it used to be all runny and I couldn't stand it either, but now it's almost exactly like the other JIF, etc just not quite as sweet.
That's the thing I actually don't do much or any cardio. I might do a quick 5-10 minutes once a week as a warm up. I do have a somewhat physically demanding job though, I'm in a store room for most of the day moving boxes back and forth, so maybe I just need to bring some more food to get through my work days.

and I agree with you with the Peanute Butter, I get the Smart Balance Creamy and it tastes great, not really sweet but it has a nice consistency.

I'd say that one and a half scoops of Jack3d is the sweet spot for me. Obliterated my workout today, and am utterly exhausted in a good way now.

And man, deadlifts are a real arse kicker, even with only dumbbells. Was going with 45 to 50 lbs in each hand. Between those and sumo squats, my lower body is toast.

Just be careful not to go too heavy with the Jack3d. The long term effects of 1-3 DIMETHYLAMYLAMINE are still relatively unknown, and taking large doses of it could be potentially fatal for your heart combined with strenuous exercise.

Anyone ever had to return something to GNC, simply because you didn't like it ? I know they guarentee the product and are supposed to 'accept returns if you're un satisfied', but I work in retail and I don't want to be one of those people, but at the same time, I have no use for it.

Well i've only been to the gym twice this year and played basketball/football a few times a week.

Slacking, I need to make a schedule of what I need to get done each day so that I remember or know I need to go work out. In HS I had motivation cause of football, now it's just meh.

All the time man. If you don't like it, or don't have a need from it, take it back, get something that you want.

That could be your problem. At my job I'm constantly on my feet and on the move, and I wasn't really factoring it in when I tried to figure out how many calories I needed. I bumped my calories up from 3200 to the 3500 range and have put on weight since.

If I remember correctly, you need a surplus of around 3500 calories for an entire week to put on one pound which is where the 500 calories above maintenance comes from.

                  Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE

I think I've actually come along way. I'm happy to say since Last summer I've gained 20 pounds. I was at my most unhealthiest then, weighing maybe a hair over 120..

I had a disgusting eating pattern, breakfast would be a bowl of Fruit Loops or some sugar loaded cereal if I even ate breakfast at all, Lunch was optional when I had the money I went to Subway but some days I wouldn't eat until I got home from work and Dinner would usually be junk like McDonalds Big Macs, Chinese Food, Pizza, Cheesesteaks.. you name it. Plus I drank a ton of Soda, I was practically breathing Mountain Dew, but yet because I only ate 3 times a day I stayed thin, and sickly looking. I always felt sick, having headaches, and no energy at work. Plus I was only getting maybe 4-5 hours of sleep because I would play video games as late as I could.

Now I am eating 5-6 times a day. Mostly cut out all processed sugars, no soda, haven't had fast food since last year. My diet mainly consists of Eggs, Whole Grains, Chicken, Beef, Fish, Beans, Vegetables, Fruits, and Peanut Butter and such. Only drinking water, and milk with my protein shakes.

I went from 120 to 140 lbs and most of my gains have been lean mass, muscle, and probably some water weight. I'm not as bony, I'm starting to get some muscle definition but no where near the Shirt-popping arms out of my sleeves look I want yet. Going to try and get to 150 by summer, but I definitely feel a ton healthier, I'm getting 7-8 hours of sleep a night, and I have a lot more energy. I never want to go back to how it was before, but it's still a battle to stay/get into shape.

That's my progress report so far.

Anyone have any healthier alternatives to finding extra energy, before a workout ? I'm trying to cut out all of my pre workout supplements. While I'm not really feeling any effects, I know they aren't that good for me & I'm trying to get back to doing it without them. I usually workout after working an 8 hour shift, so finding extra energy is tough.

Caffeine, is probably the Safest natural route you can go. I know a lot of people that make a nice strong cup of straight Black Coffee before working out. I'm not a big Coffee guy, but it works for them.

Other than that maybe look for Beta Alanine, and Glutamine supplements.

yeah strong coffee or caffeine tabs are probably as natural as you are going to get.

I am doing pretty good. On January 1, I was hovering around 265-270 - a 15 pound gain since the summer. Most of that was due to the holiday season, but since then I've got my nutrition back in check and am currently 258 and on the downswing. Hoping for 240-245 by the summer, and if I keep doing what I'm doing now, I'll get there fairly easily.

If you want a real cheap way just get some caffeine tabs. That's what I'm probably going to do. Just go to Amazon and you can get a bottle of 100 for like $5. Each one has 200mg which is all you should really need to feel it. Can't beat $0.05 for each pre-workout.
