    Played some hoop tonight and had a good run.

    18 pounds down since January 1, 2012. Seems like a lot, but I am still eating around 1,800 to 2,200 calories per day. It's just better food... and Insanity helps. But I think the biggest thing for me has been stopping the night time eating.

    20-25 more pounds to go. That would put me 225-230 pounds - and that my friends will win my teammate and I some serious money in our Biggest Loser contest at work. If we win, we'll pull in about $600 a piece. We're currently in first place out of 42 teams after today's weigh-in.

      Well, progress is progress! Got to 14 in the sledgehammer pyramid today before I fell over on the tire . Great workout today, hitting shoulders, legs, abs, then the sledge.

      I seriously can't recommend the sledgehammer enough. It gets your heartrate up SO fast, and seriously works the gripping muscles. By the time i'm done, my forearms are so sore that I can barely grip my protein shake .

        Here's a video of Bob Harper (Biggest Loser) discussing a recent WOD at Brick Crossfit in Hollywood. This the box where I workout and I think Bob sums up crossfit pretty well - it's a great community. Bob is a normal guy in the gym and very sociable - there are other celebrities that workout at Brick and they all leave their Hollywood egos at the door.

          I've noticed the trainers on that show using the term "wod" and their exercises are largely the same moves you'll find at CrossFits. It's getting big time, and I know that gives the hardcore guys that were around in the beginning a "case of the as$".

            I feel like I would pass out mid pull up and fly off.

            Day 12 of Paleo. Not working out today. Diet has been 100% clean. Nothing but water to drink and nothing remotely bad in me.

            I can already see the difference. It drives me to keep on pushing forward with it

              I've been implementing some of the Crossfit exercises into my back and bicep days. I love them. My body is exhausted after this evening's working.. it was great.

                Played soccer for 2 1/2 hours today. Going to play a 2 hour full field game again tomorrow.

                Did quad work this morning so my muscles are like jello. Doing chest and tri's tonight as my back is still healing. Got a new bed and boy does that help especially for muscle recovery.

                  I cut the palm of my hand open, while helping my dad cut/move some 2x6's, this morning... I hope it heals fast. I'm going to hit it with some peroxide in a few minutes and then get some antibiotic stuff on it..

                  I'm hoping it's at least doing better by tomorrow night, so I can get back into my workout. I may have to wear some gloves.

                      Ouch, that sucks. Don't rush back to lifting though if the wound is still open, sore... I know you'll feel out of rhythm with your routine but it will be worse if you re-open the wound, or get an infection. Take an extra day or two to heal if need be.

                        My reward for working out and staying dedicated since we all began this........



                        Just had a bowl of delicious chocolate ice cream........yum! Since I removed sugar from my daily meals and drinks, the taste of the sugar was very strong. Afterwards, it made me extremely thirsty.

                        Next month I am going for orange sherbert.

                          My pneumonia went into a nasty sinus infection, I'm almost finally able to breathe. Starting back up tomorrow...

                                I won't lie... I went off of the wagon a bit for Super Bowl Sunday today and will need to avoid the scale for the next few days for my own well being...
