      Re: 2013 FITNESS CHALLENGE

I guess if you don't mind the extra, unneeded chemicals and that process or throwing nasty **** in your arteries (which affects more than BP) then I guess go for it?

My mom is the one who got me looking out for them (only thing I had with them in it was peanut butter so that was an easy substitution) after she visited a heart specialist for a routine check-up.

I tend to agree...I'm in the gym 60-90min doing rehab work in addition to lifting or running afterwards..doesn't mean I'm wasting my time/not efficient...thats just how long it takes me to do what I want to do on a particular day.

Food alarmism is the worst. Reminds me of conspiracy theorists.

Exactly. I'm not going in to bust out some reps and get a pump in my pecs. I'm going in to make sure I'm a savage on the platform come meet day.

There you go. You said power lifter. This isn't the power lifting thread, it's the fitness thread. So yes, of course elite level lifters will be in the gym more.

For anyone that's just trying to bulk up /tone/cut get into better shape you can accomplish everything you need in 45 minutes max. Anything else is just wasted if you do it properly.

I lol that you think there is much if a difference. And lol at people trying to "tone"... very few people here are getting the results they want from what I'm reading. Maybe if they spent a little more time under the bar they would be. It takes me 30 minutes to get warmed up before I even touch a weight.

I'm just trying to help and am not sensationalizing anything. If you would read through the thread you would see a bunch of other similar posts.

Really? It seems like a lot of people have been having success in the thread.

                      That's on you.

I went from a rail thin 6' 140 to weighing a healthy 175-180 before I wrecked my shoulders with a simple 5x5 and proper diet.

The people not seeing the results they want probably aren't eating as healthy as possible which is 90% of it.

Your "do you even lift, bro" mentality is showing a little strong, this isn't bodybuilding.com

                        People aren't getting results ?

Some of us have been posting about this **** since Jonesy started the FITNESS thread a few years ago and have seen A LOT of results.

We all have been sharing our thoughts, views, opinions, or whatever else you want to call it on ways to get in better shape.

Those are pretty good results for a few months time... but is 180lbs at 6' really where you want to be?

Why does he need to be heavier?

That weight is pretty close to range for that height.

Yeah, it was. For someone that has a naturally thin frame. Any bigger and I'd look downright stupid.

I'm back to 150 range now because I can't lift, but it's still a healthy skinny. The definition and tone is slowly coming back but I'm smaller.

I also think most "power lifters" look stupid (that is, when they go out in between taking selfies in the bathroom.). I'd never want to look like that - nor would I want to look like a body builder.

I guess having the build of a short NFL receiver was a bad thing. Who would have thought.
